Hi yet another one from Cheshire. This time from Chester. Currently on my second Triumph. Previously had a Sprint GT but now riding a Thunderbird. Been riding since I was 13 ( started off road) , rode for many years on L plates but eventually got round to doing my test. Ridden various bikes over the years, sometimes nit to the letter of the law Other than married ( wife has started riding too but she rides a Japanese bike ) All the other usual stuff too ...
Hello and welcome Gary, to the Triumph Asylum - glad to have you aboard. Cheshire seems to be coming alive with Triumphs !!!!
Welcome aboard Gary to yourself and your wife, regardless of our machines were all bikers and each of us has things to bring to the pages of this forum.
Hi and welcome in to the mad house. Someone will request pictures of your bike and someone will expect it to be blue!
Hi Gary welcome. I only joined the forum recently. I pick up my thunderbird LT this sunday, which one are you riding? Wessa
I have a TBird 1600. Set mine up as a bagger but not into the screen. I'll take a pic later on the drive and post it.
Surprised at how much torque there is with it. Last big twin I rode was a Harley ( was a friends) . Didn't like it no feedback from the front, made you feel very isolated from the ride. The TBird very different plenty of feedback, so feel more in control and part of the ride.
yeah, suspension is one area where Harley skimps on..aftermarket shocks are much better..cheaper too! also depends what handlebars are fitted, that can make a big difference on the feeling from the front. when i got my speed triple it felt as if i was revving the nuts off it all the time after being on the big twin,it takes a bit to get used to again
Gary, I see you've posted somewhere, about a meet up today. Sounds good to me. Any time and place will be good with me.
Hi Gary, sorry I'll have to pull stumps on this one. It's my wedding anniversary tomorrow and I've just been told by wifey that my sister and family are coming round this afternoon
If I actually manage to get away ...... Held up myself now with other bits and pieces. More likely to later now
Hi and welcome Gary, nice to see more local people joining. There will be loads of rides up to the Ponda and beyond when the weather picks up.
