Evening gents, new to the forum and just started on building my dream bike using a 1961 t100 frame as a basis
Hello Mel and welcome to the Triumph Playground -the very best of luck with your build. Plenty of pics PLEASE
Ta, I'll pop up pics as and when not much to see at present thanks, I have a few questions regarding yoke options, iv posted my thoughts in the bonnie room
It's a bit of a blank canvas at the moment, frame is straight and in really good nick so like I said I'm gonna build upwards and out! I have what I believe is a later bonnie tank which I'd like to use as I like the shape of it. I get the feeling I'm gonna upset a few purists as I'm not doing a "restoration" I also have a some of a 3ta engine which I might use although I want to organise wheels bounce and brakes before I worry about it, chances are I'll source a 500cc later unit
After a little digging turns out its a tr25 tank, still like it though it may turn out to be a little bit small. We shall see
Cheers fellas, been buisy with other bits and pieces this week but should start to see some parts arriving soon. I'll upload pictures of significant events
Right! Starting to see a bit of progress, as I said it's not a back to original restoration and I was in at least two minds on what to do regarding forks etc but I've gone for this... Any thoughts?
Absolutely no idea, I made a little jig that replicated the head on the triumph frame and went off to the breakers yard to see if anything would fit, found these already removed, they're like new and slotted right in. Even the bearing race matches nicely
