The incident happened at Lodge Corner, Oulton Park, I was there. It was a warm up lap for a BSB race IIRC.
haga must have been a wildcard entry then cos he was in WSBK in 2004 on the Renegade Ducati. Craig Coxhel was also in that race and he was a wildcard entry in WSBK?
This is the same guy an hour later - after chomping down on a variety of specialist ‘non-prescription’ drugs. Edit: Am going to delete my browsing history and rinse my memory clear after looking for that photo. Shudder...
I think your right Andy. I think it may have been 2011 or 2012 when he signed to ride for Swan Yamaha in BSB.
Correct taken in about 1962. Sammy is still going strong at 86 and involved in his museum, which is well worth a visit. ( Bashley Cross, near New Milton in Hampshire)
Another great New Zealand speedway star. Here he is with the greatest Ivan and Ronnie in 1974. (Ronnie Moore although on the NZ team was an Australian by birth.) Sorry not really on thread but this is an interesting fact: Ivan was the best speedway rider there ever was, some US riders bet him that he wouldn't be able to win another world title (his third), sure enough his bike now resides in Christchurch's museum, all nicely gold plated. He went on to win 6.
Ah, I know this one! It’s Saddam Hussein’s speedway bike that was discovered by British troops in the Republican Palace after Op Telic. A little known fact...
That annoying kid that found ET? Edit: He’s got that look of President Biden about him. I wonder if they are related?
Martin Alan Feldman - he was an actor. Maybe the photo you have chosen was taken before the famous incident of sneezing with his eyes open.
I thought it was the pillock that jumped into bed with Tony Bliar and started the phoney war against Saddam Husseins “weapons of mass destruction” . Oh well. Disclaimer. I'm not a Saddam supporter, c@nt got what he deserved.
