Hi guys and girls ! I’ve ridden but haven’t owned a bike in 16 years. Kids are grown, finances are good, so it’s time again. Having ridden mostly Japanese sport bikes in the past I was looking for something different. I always loved the look of Triumphs so after some research I decided on a 2014 Street triple. She’s beautiful and I can’t wait for our Canadian weather to cooperate.

Hi and welcome Joseph, the Street Triple 14 models are great, is yours the base model, R or RX, they are all great. Hope you enjoy it.

Base, but with all the bells and whistles. Arrow exhaust, bar end mirrors, tail tidy, quick shifter, etc.....

Welcome! I'm coming back from an extended time away also. I went with the Trident 660, but the Street Triple was on my list as well--cant go wrong with it!

Hi Joseph, the base model is the better ride in my opinion, the suspension is a little softer for everyday road riding, those extras alone cost a fair bit, it sounds like you have a lovely machine, post some pictures when you get the chance.

Lovely bike! It'll give you all the thrills you want, such a fun machine! And one of the best sounding induction roars ever

    Cheers. I recently returned after a L O N G hiatus as well.

I too had an SV 650 back in the day. Great bike, but like you said not much “wow” factor.
