Gotta answer here. Regarding your last question, @Traveller, there’s plenty of information available about that very topic so do some research.
By the way, if you choose not to get vaccinated or wear a mask to stand up for your beliefs and principles and you get Covid and wind up in the hospital, are you planning to self-pay for your medical expenses?
I did and masks still don't make sense. They are like putting up a chain link fence to stop mosquitoes. The warning labels even say "Not for medical use" or "Will not prevent the spread of a virus". The ones someone handed out at work even say "Made in China". Why use a mask made in China to prevent the China Virus?
Sure , just look above To me, a curry a full english breakfast and a pint at the pub with workmates are 3 good reasons to get a jab and be able to travel again to UK. Patience.. Just hope the places I used to visit will still exist, the Isis and the Dun cow in Sunderland on top of my list.
I just read this story this morning and found it quite interesting and very appropriate to this particular thread--at least the last half dozen pages or so. Minus the food posts, of course! https://www.politico.com/news/2021/02/15/social-media-anti-vaxxers-468946?ncid=newsltushpmgnews
Another article I read this morning in JAMA and published very recently reporting on the number of cases of anaphylaxsis per million in the U.S. after getting vaccinated with either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2776557
Pfizer 4,7 cases for 1 million dose Moderna 2,5 cases for a million dose Combined that should be 0,00036% Risk / benefit balance is still strong
And one more research article for today. This one is very encouraging. I'm especially glad to read it as I'm one week out from having had Pfizer vaccination #2. https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/15/heal...GPnjmnIXQj790htk3A0ZX0UzO&bt_ts=1613475334980
Good on them. It’s about time fact fought back. Social media is a plague as it permits uneducated, ill informed and just mischievous individuals to publish information that would otherwise never see the light of day.
Traveller (or maybe you are past member?) why would we not be surprised you would not trust the majority? On a more important note, are you a curry, fry up or ‘other’ fan? Maybe you like Spam? That is the bigger issue!
Spam fritters, even battered spam fritters now ya talking, Chips, egg and blackpudding with tomatoe sauce or Beans, Simple food but nice.
I've had a tin of SPAM in the cupboard for about two years now. I bought it with the idea of doing spam fritters in batter with home made chips, beans and bread & butter and some HP sauce of course. I must get on and do it THIS WEEK.
