Hi All, I have just registered to this forum, so firstly thanks for accepting me. I am 64 years old and live in Malta. I am not new to bikes as I have been riding since I was 18. I own and ride other motorcycles, mainly old British iron, but this is my first modern day Triumph. I have just acquired a 2012 Bonneville. And will need lots of advice as I would like to return it to standard or near standard spec as much as possible. It now stands on a spoked alloy 17" rear wheel and an18" front. The handling is a bit suspect as I feel I need to fight the bars to make it go round a bend. Do you think this is due to it being on an 18"front instead of the standard 17"? Many thanks, Albert
Welcome to the forum The SE model with cast alloy wheels had 17" rims front and back, The spoked T100 should have a 19" front and 17" rear wheel.
Welcome to the forum sometimes a fresh set of rubber can do wonders for the steering characteristics. Should get plenty of advice here anyhow.
Hello Albert and welcome to the forum I suppose you’ve checked the tyre pressures? If the front tyre pressure is low it will handle like a pig.
Greetings from New Jersey. I picked up a bike from the dealer once after having new tires installed. The bike felt squirrely right out of the parking lot. I pulled over immediately. The idiots hadn't tightened the axle nuts!
No mate just trying to make you feel at home. Have been to Malta and Gozo a few times and was supposed to go again last May and this May for some diving but it's just been postponed again until May 22
Hi Albert and welcome to the forum agree with tyre pressure or replacement. Can you post a pic of wear and brand?
