Not sure a motorcycle forum needs this kind of proselytism. And the good old vaccine-autism theory is clearly and widely debunked for ages. It's a father of an asperger autist that writes that.
@Traveller, I don't completely agree with you regarding your perspective and opinion on nutrition but I also don't completely disagree. I just think it is far more complicated and there are many variables at work in addition to nutrition. One of the true positives about your perspective is that nutrition is a variable over which we have much control unlike other variables things like heredity and environmental factors. You don't mention activity level but that belongs in the mix with things that play a part in preventing illness and recovering from injury. I definitely take issue, however, with your comments regarding autism and stating there is a link.There are many other reasons to which an increase the number of children diagnosed with autism could be attributed. Diagnostic practices have improved significantly in the last several decades. It has become more acceptable to identify a child as "autistic". Even the simple fact that the population has increased overall will raise numbers just based on base rates. Unfortunately, most all of what we currently know about autism and its cause is more related to correlation than causation. A major reason that so many to this day believe that there is a "link" (which many infer means causation) traces back to a paper published in The Lancet in 1998. That paper was since retracted in 2010. This Wikipedia article is quite comprehensive and contains many links if you care to delve deeper. Here is just one quote from the Wikipedia piece that is very clear. And, surprise surprise, in the final analysis much of it was related to money and profit. And it has created lasting damage that even a retraction has not been able to undo. Mr. Sandi and I were both thrilled to get our second round of Covid vaccinations (Pfizer) this past Monday morning. And will be even happier when we're two weeks out from that. Both of us felt great for the first 12 hours other than having sore arms. Right about the time I went to bed I started feeling poorly. Had a rough nights sleep with a mild fever, chills, and a headache. I slept as late as I could manage then spent the rest of the day wrapped in a blanket feeling like crud trying to get down some tea, crackers, and chicken soup. Basically it felt a lot like the flu--headache, achy, chills, mild fever, fatigue. And that sore arm. But when I went to bed last night I got a great nights sleep and woke up feeling nearly back to normal and I've been feeling even better as the day progressed. Yesterday I thought to myself on multiple occasions – well, I certainly wouldn't want to feel like this for two or three weeks, or even worse perhaps. So it was well worth it! I did feel poorly enough to take the day off and that's saying something since I'm working remotely at home. But when I went to bed last night I got a great nights sleep and woke up feeling nearly back to normal this morning and I've been feeling even better as the day progressed. So my malaise really was about 24 hours all told. Mr. Sandi didn't feel great either but his symptoms were much milder than mine fortunately. Fortunately for his own sake....and also fortunately because he could coddle me just a bit.
I have survived 75 years with beer, whisky and some pounds of tobacco....also my first wife and 40 years firefighting....all my friends who got the vaccine had no ore small problems...so I believe I will take the vaccine and will ride my bike more years.

Hi Littleade, I live in the same town as you and have done for 30 years. I work in construction and move around between various sites within a 20 mile radius. I have don't anyone who has tested positive, or died with/from covid. I have lost two young associates from suicide during this period and one from undiagnosed cancer. (A particularly fast spreading one which could not have been treated). I will be taking the vaccine asap so I can get back to whatever normal we will be allowed by this makeshift government. Lockdown has not been kind to families, friends, businesses, or indeed, the country.

Good point Sir, with lockdown and the reduction of normal medical services, coupled with people fear to go to hospitals means we may well see many unfortunate instances of undiagnosed illnesses taking their toll. A similar situation for mental health with people worried about their livelihoods, missing friends and family or suffering from the stress of the pandemic, lockdown and other consequences. My work is doing loads to try to support people trapped and working from home - lots of cries for help. Terrible situation. Hopefully there a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel... keep safe.
I just do not see a reason to be afraid of a virus that has a 98.6% survival rate. I take more risk riding a motorcycle or going into Philly or New York for the day.
I'm not afraid for myself. I'm more angry with our government forcing a lockdown on all of us, when a relatively small number of people may be seriously affected. The risk assessment should be ours alone, while the unwell, elderly and vulnerable should be shielding or isolating and the rest of the country goes about it's business.
So pleased you think 2,373,732 deaths as of 11 Feb is an inconvenience to you and that our government is taking advantage. That irritating effort our (and most other) government(s) have made to deliberately cripple our economies, undermine our children’s educations and arbitrarily restrict our freedoms is totally unnecessary as you think they should just let you do what you want because you are so clever and do not think of others. It’s not like every other government has done the same apart from Tanzania where they will let you do what you want but mercifully give you miracle cures with no efficacy. This isn’t a political thing. People ARE dying. Do you not suppose the death rate is a tad lower than it might be simply because we have had lock downs? What might have been otherwise. Edit: The CFR case fatality rate varies significantly country to country - right the way up to 10 percent. The UK is looking good at the moment both in terms of its CFR and vaccine (if you believe in it) roll out rates. Clearly you have very high expectations of another imaginary UK government that would both allow you to do what you want and have better the CFR/vaccine figures (Corbyn perhaps - he has been a great inspiration). Perhaps you could let us know where it’s possible to buy the magic pixie dust necessary to make that happen.
If everyone actually did what you suggested it would work. Unfortunately most of the British public are thick so unless they are told what to do they won’t. The consequence of which would be many more deaths. Of course you could take the attitude that it’s their fault for not taking the appropriate preventive measures and they deserve what they get. But a responsible government had to take decisions for all levels of intelligence within its population.
