    I feel like I'm the last person to know something everyone does! I'm looking for a 2nd hand oil cooler for a 2003 955i, loads for sale if I want 97-01 but nothing listed for me. Is it the same part as something else or are they all just rusted out!
    Help me get in the know, please!!

    If all else fails have a look at www.worldoftriumph.com in the 'parts' section and compare the parts numbers using their schematics. If nowt else it will give you a better idea of what will/won't fit.

  3. If you do go for a new one (that at least will be perfect and guaranteed to fit your model) you'll get 10% off if you are a member of the Triumph owners club. I am and have ordered from them loads of times, but they have never ask for proof strangely.

    You're welcome, you might also want to consider a fender extender.

    They're barely noticeable when fitted as they are black and visually blend in to the tyre. I've have one on around 7 of my last bikes and they make a considerable amount of difference to the crud thrown at the oil cooler and radiator. My 2000 955i Daytona with 4,800 miles on it has had one since new (I think) and it is mint around the coolers and belly pan.

    The fitting instructions for them are normally double sided sticky sponge tape and self tappers. I never use the self tappers, I either buy proper car rear view mirror sticky pads or I use super glue on either side of the sponge tape. That way you can remove it if you wish with no permanent effects. I've fitted loads in this way and I can tell you that it won't come off at any speed.

    Just checked, £6 before discount for a genuine Trumpet one;

    It comes with pop-rivets:eek:. No way to that, double sided pads or tape with super glue on both sides - will look neater and not come off. ;)

  7. Cheers, yeah I'm really pleased with it and think it looks great in red. Its a credit to its previous owners as I've not touched it or even ridden it yet. I do have a few OCD plans for it though staring with some Autosol and a polish mop to those front pipes.
