For once France is not to blame, the Sanofi vaccine isn't available yet, and we have the poorest vaccine campaign in Europe so far.

Forgive me, I failed maths O level miserably, but I can count and multiply for day to day purposes.

If we say that the UK population is, say, 60 million and the vaccine requires 2 doses per person, that makes 120 million doses required. How much wastage or over spending is reasonable that the UK needs to order 367 million doses?

As this may be an ongoing virus, I presume it may need an annual or six monthly booster
Possible that 367m doses is over 4 or 5 years!

Is Sanofi the French Vaccine ?
If so, wasn't it Macron who persuaded the EU to go for that one ?

I won't enter sterile war around Brexit , so go on with french bashing if that please you :), I'm more on the fact side.
. But yes Sanofi is a big french companie that tried to align on the vaccine race and didn't reach the same success as others on that.
By the way the cie that will provide the english vaccine is french-german :)

More on the fact side?Do us all a favour,I’m sure you’d wish I disappeared from TTF, but I didn’t say I was leaving ,as you implied, just another example of your bullshit,or did you misunderstand?
Coming from the home of chauvinism it’s ironic that one of your europhile friends accuses others here of being jingoistic about a vaccine.
It’s quite funny when you think about it.

You are free to stay. You are the one that several time said he'll leave and praise this wonderful other place. A bit contradictory maybe?? :joy:
I'm all but chauvinist, just read my comments about how France is handling the vaccine.
As usual your comment is Manichean .. right left liberal europhile brexit.. Very simplistic

When does bullshit turn into lies Hubaxe and as for manichean?more irony from your binary world.
You reacted quickly for a “non” chauvinist,it’s difficult to take anything you say seriously.

    Wow I'm down.. :joy:

Where are the lies? Don't really see where my world is binary neither.
I'm such a chauvinist as I write above that France has one of the poorest vaccine campaign..., I often work in UK, my daughter lives there, my uncle was part of a UK national team 4 years in a row.. You are ridiculous Tom, really.

Talking about people where it's difficult to take anything he says seriously, when is your next departure from this forum ? :joy: Third one? fourth? can't remind all of them

WTF has Brexit got to do with what I said ?
Yes I'm on the side of facts too in case you hadn't noticed. The fact that Macron persuaded the EU to take up the French vaccine. The fact that the Sanofi vaccine appears to have failed. You are just attempting the usual smoke screen tactics. If I wanted to "go on with french bashing" as you call it I could mention the speed and eagerness with which the French surrendered to the Nazis in 1940 and put their economy behind the German war effort and sent many thousands of Jews to their deaths. But I won't because we're past that now.

    That's fair.
And yes the Sanofi vaccine failed. Last news (this am) from french health minister is Sanofi offered to produce the Pfizer Biontech one to help mass production. Don't know if a deal will be found.
Institut Pasteur also gave up, they were too late, and it's now a non sense to go one creating a new one.
France is paying that the high price. Our vaccination rate is very very low.
