Purchased a Thruxton RS ex demo at end of December. Too much time browsing interweb when bored. Since then, Thruxton has been in lock down with the rest of the country. Part exed a BMW 1200RS which was functional and practical but not a lot of fun and had no garage look back appeal. Thruxton is my 3rd Triumph, having owned a 675 daytona and 1st gen Street Trip R, both of which I loved and should never have parted with. Have owned most brands and have spent at least a year of my life sat in dealers following recalls and replacing parts that have failed. I haven't owned a KTM or this might have been 2 years! I have no brand loyalty but I am looking for "The One". Yes, the bike that I will always love and which does not let me down. So far only an MZ Skorpion 660 (fun all the time at full throttle) and a CBR 600 (utterly reliable and flattering to ride) came close to being a keeper. Hoping the Thruxy (named Bess) will live up to it's looks.
Cooky Boy Welcome to the family. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show of some of your steeds the inmates love it. Well brand loyalty is only a name. Here in the asylum you will find inmates who will talk to you laugh with you take the Michael out of you. But each and every one will in turn end up being like your family and will help and share with you. That's locality. Joe
Yellow Daytona. Miss you sweetheart, but you were never really a good fit for me (or anyone over 5ft6!).
Cooky Boy Cool steed thanks for sharing. And just think your loss has become someone's pride and joy. Joe.
Never buy your dream bike! Paul Smart rep was form over function. I still can't stand up straight after owning this.
Cooky Boy Love your Thruxton. Dam I love them all. And that Laverda is jaw dropping machinery you lucky Boy. Joe.
821 monster is better than the 1200. Regret selling this one. Great fun and the best standard pipe on the overrun.
nice collection of steeds sir! Hopefully, your warranty visits are less but hey ho, it's all safety etc. Welcome in!
Welcome to the forum, nice bikes! You have owned and own some of the best models triumph have to offer in my opinion
