It has been awhile since I updated my project here. This was the 66 Bonneville I won on a raffle last November.

I have tried to get the bike looking more like it did before it was modified, making it more enjoyable to ride for me. I've replaced the shortened rear frame to stock, had the stock foot pegs powder coated and new rubbers installed. Added a stock rear fender, stock seat and taillight. Installed bar end mirrors and dual horns, didn't have either when I got it. Installed stock mufflers, sounds better I think. Installed chain guard and waiting on rear brake switch. Still need to replace the shortened front fork springs with a set of progressive springs along with new head light mount ears with the ignition key mount on the left ear.
Here is a clip with the new mufflers installed.

Thanks Adie P. not sure what you mean by JPN pics. Did not want to ignore a request but I'll show my ignorance I guess. I'll do my best to make it happen if I can. :)

Looking good. Keep up the good work, says I.
I have to say as one who's been a serial ' customiser' in my youth I'm now dutifully ashamed of my past.
On reflection I've rarely genuinely improved a bike by modifying it.
I appreciate your efforts to bring your previously customised machine closer to factory specs.

Sorry, Jim - that was a bit 'obscure' wasn't it? I was referring to the Commando ("come and go") next to your Triumph - it appears to have a John Player Norton (JPN) fairing and seat/tail unit, looks deliciously clean and sexy and is worthy of being featured ..... even on a Triumph forum. [INCOMING!] :scream: ;)

No worries, now I understand what you are suggesting. The picture with the JPN was in the shop where I picked up my prize! I think I can find you a link of the bike on their site. Try here, http://www.unionmotorcycle.com/bikes.html
    Cheers, :)

Many thanks for that, Jim. If they raffle that one off I'll definitely take a punt on a ticket or two!! ;)
