Angled tyre valve extenders

Thanks for this, I have a similar issue and will have angle ones fitted when I next change rubber.

These will do nicely in the mean-time, I will only screw them on to use them and then remove them again. I can't see any reason why they won't work perfectly in that regard. Once you have them you can make a judgement on how well they seal, hold pressure and if you want to leave them attached.

Personally, I will just tape one under the seat and use it for filling only as I'd rather not introduce a potential weak point.

I had one in the past, can't remember where I got it from, it worked good for me! Just remember to screw it on right!!

 

Correct littleade they do tend to leak air out if left on.

Had some on one of my bikes but it gave the original valve fatigue and ended up with a flat on the motorway. The faster you go the more it bends the valve.

 

I just keep one in my top jacket pocket and install when necessary to pump or check the tyre pressures.

 

Used one on my Honda ST1100. Great, providing you take it off when you've blown up the tyres.

The guys are all right, do not leave the angled adaptor in place. I had a rapid deflation of my front tyre due to one of them and in my mind I was very lucky to get away with it. I carry one in my jacket now just in case.

 

Is your mind set on a maker and model yet and will it be new or second hand ?? must be torture looking have you done any road tests yet ??

2. It'll be Triumph obviously - the KTM was just an amusing mistake.

3. Definitely 2nd hand -either an alloy - wheeled 955i or a 1050 should fit my price range.

I got some small good news today - the Swiss bloke who is buying our place received the documents for part 1 (of the process) today, signed, photocopied and returned to the Notaire.

So things are moving forward.

Thats a bit different from what you had is colour important ??

 

I quite like what I call the "lary" colours in the 955 range,the red,orange and lime green -but ultimately it will be the bike that talks me, that I'll buy.

Obviously the Tiger is very different from the Bonny I had, but not so different from the KTM. I still want to do lots of long-distance work in the next couple of years and I'm reliably informed that the Tiger will eat the job.
