You exemplify the same traits. Who is denying deaths or constructing a ‘conspiracy’? I simply contend there are other viable ways of dealing with the virus and even Professor Ferguson is furiously back-pedalling to say we may now have herd immunity even before immunisation is complete. I do happen to think we are in the realms of a fairly ‘normal’ winter and the virus has largely become endemic based on the balance of genuinely expert opinion (virologists, immunologists and pathologists using actual data not models)
The London picture is clear enough and pretty typical. Meanwhile the latest data shows an increase in Covid patients but a decrease in ITU bed occupancy.

The pernicious effects of Lockdown are for the Government to justify against proven beneficial effect.

That’s what the graph suggests.....all cause mortality. The August blip was a heatwave

However, it is utterly ridiculous that lay people like us are getting in the weeds of this. It is clear that hospitals are pressed but mortality is broadly within normal winter parameters (whatever media headlines throw out on any particular day). That suggests a resource problem more than true epidemic. Politicians and managers don’t want that narrative taking hold.

    Source your graph first.
No, the mortality is higher compared to past years. Even in sweden:
And look, I don't put crappy copy screen, but real links:

You'll have to shout louder, Cal. It's hard for us rolling around in the mainstream muck to hear you from right up there on your unfeasibly tall horse. ;)

We wait for that, and will check at the context.
So far you just post a london 2020 number of death, without context nor past years comparison.
Nothing that can support your theory anyway.

Are you sure you aren’t putting words into his mouth there? And if he did say that, how does that constitute “back-pedalling”?

It's all a matter of perspective. Yours is wrong and Cal's is right. Try to keep up, figgy.
