Been riding Trumphs since 18 Years. Legend, Sprint 955 and Sprint 1050 from 2007. On 1050 managed to make 96.000km in 13 years. Quite reliable and still going strong like the first day. Issues and modifications by now: - changed handlebars from MY 2008 - changed to OEM gel seat - changed master cylinder 5/8 from MY 2008 (spongy brakes issue) - 1 x regulator rectifier - 2 x stator What's still making the problems: - excesive heat to my knees on warmer summer days - ocasionally sticking clutch plates Will try to fix at least clutch problem.
Welcome ! Nice bike. I've been through the sticky clutch issue. Despite new clutch plates, it happens time to time after long ride in hot condition without changing gear. Gonna try different oil.
That was taken last September. It started raining on the way up, and dried up on the way down. Great pass to ride, and when I was there, there was hardly any traffic...
Hi Tom and welcome to the very friendly forum, regarding your occasional sticking clutch plates, do you run it on a fully Synthetic oil, there have been a couple of clutch issues you describe when using the full Synthetic oil, just a thought. Ride safe.

Hi Iceman. I always run on Motul 5100 10w 40 Semy synth. I checked some threads and seems that steel plates with flat surface are causing problems clutch to stick? https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/sticking-clutch.12629/page-2
I've changed the plates but kept the steel plates already in. The problem almost disappeared, but is still there after a long run without changing gear (motorway). If I'd redo the job, I would also change the steel plates.
Hello and welcome to the forum, Tom! Nice introduction and great photos. Hope you enjoy this forum "family".
