Thank you for your informative and courteous reply. I haven't seen any of these images relating to the riot.
The people you referred to as sheeple, l recall. And yet you are happy to accept pictures from Fox News, surely the epitome of MSM. It wouldn't have been so hard to garner some information from ITN, BBC, Sky, whatever, and make your own mind up like most others, rather than disdainfully implying that they are being misled, or hoodwinked. Or perhaps even don't know any better. Just struck me as a bit disingenuous.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-55593068 On Friday, Mrs Pelosi said she had spoken to the top US military official, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to prevent Mr Trump from accessing US nuclear codes.
I'm thinking by your continued presence here, OldNick, that they at least those ham and mustard sandwiches aren't lethal weapons. Or maybe you don't ever eat them.
I think that this one wins not only a Darwin Award--but the Dawin Award of All Time!! https://darwinawards.com/rules/
This is a good watch and about sums it up for me as a registered independent who leans towards conservatism. Best quote “the far left and the far right are dragging America off a cliff”. Senator Mitchell also give some insight to challenges and non challenges of states voting policies based on results.
Thanks for sharing this Russell. It was excellent I watched every minute of it and just now finished. I consider myself centrist/moderate Democrat and Senator Mitchell's words pretty much sum it up for me, too. His withdrawal from the Republican party is a loss to that party. Would that all of our political leaders were as principled as he is.
Glad to hear someone saw it as I did. Looking through the comments on YouTube I was appalled by the venom from both sides toward him. Which, I guess is exactly what he’s talking about.
Dominion sues Sidney Powell Dominion Voting Systems, one of the biggest election equipment manufacturers in the U.S. and the subject of numerous incoherent conspiracy theories about the 2020 election, has sued lawyer Sidney Powell, who pushed President Donald Trump’s attempts to overturn election results, for defamation. “Powell falsely claimed that Dominion had rigged the election, that Dominion was created in Venezuela to rig elections for Hugo Chávez, and that Dominion bribed Georgia officials for a no-bid contract,” the lawsuit states. Powell didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Dominion is requesting damages of more than $1.3 billion, saying it has spent millions on security for its employees and on damage control to its reputation, and risks losing future business...
Hmm. Better than some, but I think he misunderstands or misrepresents the nature of Trump’s base. I don’t think Trump is really appealing to the 40% of Americans he quotes as not having $400 in emergency savings. Certainly those at the Capitol on Weds appeared to have travelled across the USA, many on flights, to join in the protests and were, largely, scared of a supposedly socialist/communist Democratic President-elect. While it may, to Russell Brand’s philosophy, be preferable for Biden to start to transform the USA into a fairer society, I am not sure that is what Trump’s supporters actually want. Many of them want to protect their own position as it is now.
