Hi All. I'm returning to riding at 63 (after 30 + years), so I am a newbie.
Bought, as a retirement 'gift', a bike that seemed to have my name on it ;) 'Modern' 2016 Thruxton 1200 (standard). :) :)

Thanks. Bike is great. Retirement is Covid. For now. Looking forward to Spring season to enjoy both ..

Hi and welcome. Very nice bike. The 1200 really has some power to it. Love the green colour

Welcome to the forum! I'm not usually a fan of green bikes (sorry Kawasaki) but that one looks great. I'm already a fan of the Thruxton so that helps.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Congrats on your return to riding and on that beautiful Thruxton. I had a 2016 Thruxton R in Silver Ice color. I predict you will absolutely love your Thruxton. Hope you love the forum too! More photos please. :)

Welcome ! Your choice of the Thruxton surprises me for a retirement gift. My perception I.D.'s the Thruxton as a 'race, sport bike'. But hey, 'go for it' !

Hello Bikerman. Never been in the U.K. But it's on my list. I live on the South shore of Montreal. In Brossard.

Hello unclescratch. Well, sport classic. But riding position is "fairly" upright or a tiny bit leaning, just enough to be comfortable on the move with any wind ;)
Also, and importantly, the bike is not too heavy (450 lbs) and very 'willing' ;)
