I'm glad you looked it up, @andyc1! Or I'd have been compelled to check it out myself. That both the car and guitar appeared during the same year certainly doesn't seem like a coincidence...but I don't believe in coincidence to begin with. I wonder what the connection is?? Very intriguing.

My Gibson Custom Shop CS-356 unlike ALL of other semi hollows this one's body is a billet of Mahogany carved to dimension , with a hand carved flame maple top . Very much the semi-hollow LP custom 1 17 18 CS 356.jpg

If I understand ok, there are no sides? It's a kind of hollowed solid body?

    Gorgeous!

I have a little gibson blues hawk, same sort of construction, hollowed out mahogany. My first gibson actually and a little bit strange. It has a longer fender scale length. Lovey wee guitar, its had a hard life and still plays beautifully :)

I love p90's! I think gibson called these 'blues 90's' I'm not sure how they differ from p90's. Theres a dummy 3rd pickup in there too, the rotary knob lets you select some out of phase tones with it.

the back and sides are all one piece , CNC routed to match the same as the ES 339. The top is twice as thick as my ES . Cuts better in the mix. The early ones, like mine had Ebony fretboards...post CITES raid they have "Richlite" yuck. http://legacy.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/2017/Custom/CS-356.aspx

Blackstar make very good amps by the way.
I have an ID CORE 10 to write ideas at home. Very good for the price.
I've tried a HT50 head on a 2X12 cab. Very nice head, able of a lot. Convincing clean, able to nail the Marshall sound and all in between.
Some of you tested some Blackstar stuff?

Just the artisan, played both the 15 and 30. I believe there is also a 10watt version now. Gorgeous amps but I would call them a gigging only amp. The overdrive tones are out of this world, thought the 15 was a bit harsh, but they have to be so so loud to get them! My hearing aids can't take the volume.

I tried the Artisan 30 and fell in love with it... but I could not afford it as well as my PRS. :(

Don't know why it made you think of me, my hat's a different colour. I've got me eye on a gee-tar, the seller keeps re-listing it on ebay and I keep making offers but so far we've not agreed a price.

Off topic(ish). Anybody know of anyone that can fix effect pedals, or whats likely to be wrong with one. A MXR 10 band eq, I have a suspicion a drop of water might have landed on it and got past the sliders. Completely dead, 18v power adaptor is working. No battery.

There’s Ampworks and I think AwardSession used to... not sure if they are only amps now?

I imagine the insides are full of minute components, will probably have a look myself but don't really know what to look for or test.

Aye its dead and useless so nothing to loose... feckin 100 quid pedal
Really good too because my hearing aids pick up the upper mids-highs so the eq allows me to pull down those frequencies
