I've ridden a 1970 TR6 for the last 10 years. Basically just kept it preserved. I recently bought a 2011 Sprint GT and I'm trying to locate the battery . I can't seem to remove the seat to get at it .also Id like to know what the best shop manual would be to buy for it ? Thanks
Hi martin! Welcome in! Good luck with your search. Not sure why the seat can’t be removed sir. If the key turns in the lock, it's the right key and likely a cable problem to the lock mechanism at the seat end. If its (the key) springing back, it's a lock problem at the seat end. If it doesn’t turn , its a lock/key problem at the key lock end. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1000394/Triumph-Sprint-St.html for the manual.
Go to the top rear of the seat. Wedge your fingers inbetween the seat rubber and the rear cowling and pull the seat towards the front, this will expose to Allen screws. These hold the seat on. When removed pull the seat to the rear of the bike and up. You should now have the seat in your hands and the battery exposed. Above is copy and paste btw! Sorry, my mistake. As @Smilinjack says!
Thanks Guys , Yeah I looked for those Allen screws I saw in the St video no luck. I'll just have to stop by the triumph dealer when I'm over that way. it's about 70 Mi away from me. I did find a place that sells the shop manual for $20 though and I sent for one.www service-shop-repair-manual.com

Excellent ! Piece of cake when you know where the seat lock is. I live in Michigan and wanted to get the battery disconnected for the winter. Thank you very very much.
Oh , I'd love to see it. What does the "C" stand for ? I'm trying to post a picture of mine but I've never been on a forum before and I'm not sure how to get it on here.
