@Rob, it's now six months since I requested and paid for my card, still no sign of one and feeling just a tiny bit disallusioned about the whole thing.
Is there just the tiniest chance it may arrive this year?

I subscribed in March, no card yet, sad to say. For me, it was the card that made subscription worth paying for, as straight membership is free.

Despite polite chase-up requests, no card, no update.

 

Did your card ever arrive ?
My ‘welcome to the forum’ message was kind of encouraging me to join with the benefit of the Halfords scheme .

@Kenbro, I really don't care about the money, wherever it went, it's the shear lack of manners on the part of the admin responsible, it'll be getting on for a year now with not so much as an apology or explanation for why the card never appeared. I must confess it's coloured my whole attitude to this forum.

Has anybody ever received one? I always wondered how that works for our overseas members anyway. I don’t think Halfords have gone global

Not wishing to sound like the Xmas grinch but even with a discount card Halfords tends to be more expensive than other outlets, I avoid buying things there unless it’s something I need immediately, B&Q the same, a good example being they were asking £120 for a collapsible ladder, I got the identical item, same brand, same model number on eBay for £56, shocker!!
