    Hi All,

Firstly; many thanks for the help with my first post regarding my carb issues. It proved invaluable.

So we move on to reassembly which all went as well it can, given its a b.....d to get the carbs back on with the cold hard rubbers and no clearance etc.

Fired her up but now I have a very slow roll off on the throttle. I,ve put a little light oil down the cable from the top end and hope it works its way down. I didnt think to pull it out and do it whilst torn apart because I didnt have the issue before. Theres a video attached with any luck.

    Two potential contributing factors are
    a) I may not have adjusted the nut at the bottom of the throttle cable to the same position, but am pretty sure it isnt holding the carbs open at rest.

    b) I've fiddled with the idle adjust knob so much - who knows where its set at, but this shouldnt effect the slow roll down

    thanks

    Steve

Routing of the throttle cable incorrect?
Disconnect it and see if it still sticks when you operate it?

I'll take a look, but I didnt move it much when I took the carbs off. It felt ok when I lubed it from the top end - pulling the cable up and down to get the oil through.

the cable seems to pull down freely, I'm wondering if it might be carb slides?

Is it the cable? Cos poor tuning can cause this. I'm at work and can't remember if it's to lean or to rich.

If it didn't happen before it sounds like a cable sticking due to a tight curve or badley worn inside etc as @Ducatitotriumph says lift everything of of the cable so it is clear and free then try again
A new aftermarket cable is about £20 a good idea to change it anyway

Too lean badley fitted carb or split rubber

Or not quite sealing properly after being refitted. Fire the bike up and then squirt each carb rubber in turn with 'Easy Start' or similar (WD40 is also rumoured to work!). If the revs rise then the rubber is leaking for whatever reason.

Thanks for all the above. It'll be Christmas eve before I get a chance to look at it now. If you own one of these you'll know how tight it all is in there. Wasnt an issue before and I haven't moved the throttle cable at all other than to disconnect from the carb. It could be a seal issue. Not adjusted mix at all on the carbs. Fine before, just emptied the water out and blew them through with carb cleaner. I'll pull the tank off and run it on an auxiliary one so I can see stuff. Cheers.
