And you UTTERLY fail to notice I am not supporting one view over another just noting that there is a major and vocal split of opinion. Facts? Not too many. But they could tumble out.
Only the people who are so keen for Biden to win that they don’t care what effect it has on faith in the US electoral system.
come on then Cal, point us to a single occasion in this thread where you have called out a debunked claim?
So you don’t think that continually promulgating baseless conspiracy theories are undermining faith in the US electoral system?
Bless you. My personal credibility is, was and will remain completely irrelevant. This is all about the credibility and trust reposed in an electoral system. I don’t have to de-bunk anything. The only people desperate not to have their belief system rattled is you! The evidence was never going to get paraded in detail at courts of first instance and some of the grandiose pronouncements about what SCOTUS will/will not do are genuinely laughable. They betray a very superficial understanding of the entire process. Meanwhile I have been insulted directly and indirectly with accusations of condescension (no, that was a mirror but you failed to see your own reflection), conceit (probably the most justified case of inferiority complex on here) right through to veiled flat earther and conspiracy theorist. Right now I am an honorary deplorable! Keep ‘em coming. Water off a duck’s back. Personalising things merely betrays a total lack of argument. I kicked off this thread hoping for more US perspectives but I sense the habitual abuse of the virtuous soft left has kept heads down. I fight back - even from a relatively middle of the road position. I came here for a battle of wits but you keep showing up unarmed.
As a neutral I could not give a feck about the outcome in the US, but I have enjoyed the banter backwards and forward across the two sides of this debate. I will be disappointed when it is settled cause this last few weeks have been fun to read
Hypocrisy, unfounded assertions, pomposity and sneering in the same post, well done! Hypocrisy: claiming you care what effect it has on faith in the US electoral system whilst promulgating conspiracy theories and claims which you know have been debunked. Unfounded assertions: “the only people desperate not to have their belief systems rattled is you” Pomposity: claiming that you are the only person with an understanding of the legal system and decrying contributions from others as laughable. Sneering: “I’m so witty but you have all left yours at home” Still, so long as it keeps you amused in your bath chair. That is, after all, why we come on here
Actually Wessa, in all seriousness, this may be one of the best places to follow it. We have one or two “gun-totin’-crazies’ , a few loons, conspiracy theorists galore, CNN/BBC followers, lawyers, would be lawyers and, in Cal, one imminent appointee to SCOTUS (in his own mind at least). All we need now is the Donald, but he couldn’t concentrate for long enough!

As an American living in the United States and being bombarded with this every single day and seeing the many ramifications, I will be incredibly glad when this is settled, Wessa.
