You do realise the Uni of East Anglia weather wonders are linked to the same alarmist mathematician at Imperial College who brought you BSE, Foot & Mouth, Swine Flu and Covid numbers all of which proved to be massively inflated......in the case of BSE and Swine Flu a near total invention and Foot & Mouth an unnecessary and excessive slaughter programme.

 

Because all the climate doom mongers are scuttling down the rabbit hole of mathematical computer modelling and have been since the late 80's.
As technology has improved so more complex their models have become but they are designed to get the results they expect/want to see.
Its scientific guesswork wrapped up in fancy clothes trotted out as hard facts.

 

As someone disagreed with me, i just thought i'd throw this out there...
Who has any sort of training in this area be it climate science, climate change, weather forecasting or ecology? This is rather than swallowing every bit of propaganda the BBC and Met Office (yes it is a political organisation) spout???

Just for avoidance of doubt i have a degree specialising in "Applied climatology and real time meteorology" as the prospectus states, with secondaries in "Ecology and human development".
And yes they are from a UK redbrick university, not an online tickbox bullshit qualification.

The so is... despite "science" being the driver. A lot of climate change reporting is very much "do not let the facts ruin a good story". The real trouble is, a lot of climate science works on the same principle.
If you do not have a clear understanding that "anomalies" that do not fit the narrative are discarded. Data is manipulated. Historical data relating to climate change very often might as well have been written by Hans Christian Anderson.
To illustrate this point, a few questions for you relating to climate change and climate history....
1 - when was the first thermometer invented?
2 - when could you use a thermometer to compare temperatures at 2 locations?
3 - how do you determine temperature before 1&2 were invented and then compare it to after?
4 - they say global ocean/sea water temperatures are rising,
a- how do you measure this
b - even if you can measure it, how do you compare it to 200 years ago?

 

Might as well move sarf most of those that lived there have moved to the
East & West Midlands so the locals here can't afford to buy a house here any more.

Paradoxically should our northern brethren move down south, they will in fact have less time to ride.
