You wouldn’t know how “woke” I am. But coming from you Cal, I take the intended insult as a compliment.
‘If the crap fits’, as the saying goes As to the rest you need to follow the Tarver testimony. You just seem to have dipped your toe. She explicitly said ALL military votes in one dump went to Biden. Did you do a CNN and think I said all military votes everywhere?
OMG Cal what has happened to you? 1 “I don’t know you but you disagree with me so you must be woke”. 2 “She said ALL military votes in one dump went to Biden“ 3 , “I try to confine myself to ‘facts’; things that are within my own knowledge rather than a mere expression of personal opinion dressed up as more” I suspect at least 71% of these statements could not pass audit.
You should really be impressed with the sheer stupidity of Republicans who can’t even out smart incompetent Democrats.
As I said at the outset, this is actually about whether the US electorate trusts their system. The potential fallout is horrendous. Focusing on Trump as a ‘here today gone tomorrow politician’ (like Biden) entirely misses the point. The allegations need to be publicly laundered to assure people the process is substantially clean or it’s Zimbabwe, Russia, China etc. Displays of anti Trump virtue are therefore pretty irrelevant. It is about process integrity and outcomes, not personalities and policies. Who owns the US? Its people or the people who decide which votes count?
You should also explain that to Rich Bryce after his comments if that’s your stance on the thread. Just an observation...
It has been my stance throughout. Others have ploughed the partisan furrow. I have merely flipped their coin as necessary. Some liberal virtue has the whiff of shite about it! The only dog I have in the fight is Democracy but apparently he is a rabid Trumpite Rich can read! I am metaphored out.
If you watch that, my original reply on this thread was The President’s response should be “All properly placed votes will be counted and I will accept the results”. By him not saying that, and spouting off stuff he pulled out of his nether regions, he is putting lives in danger, and the integrity of our electoral system in doubt. This isn’t what a President should do!
Well said Russell. The behaviour of Trump and the broader Republican Party post-election has been disgraceful and is the biggest challenge to democracy. They need to show some leadership and respect for the people doing their darnedest to (fairly) produce the results and either calm down the rhetoric or, alternatively, just STFU. There isn’t a man among them with the integrity of Gabriel Sterling, a lifelong Republican and Georgia state election official who has the balls and common decency to call them out...
To be very fair I’ve seen plenty of Republicans condemning The President for his comments and actions too.
Except Sterling Innovative Inc. was all part of the voting arrangements in Georgia when over $10M changed hands mid year so your assertions of moral probity may turn out to be someone ‘protesting too much’. Time will tell. Nominal political affiliation is no guarantee of loyalty. I don’t pretend to know but I maintain a healthy scepticism.
You are failing to see a pattern with Trump here. Life long Republicans who he put in charge of ensuring a fair election are telling him there is not the massive fraud he speaks of. His response is that of a marital cheater. Deny deny deny or the classic you’re fired for telling me what I don’t want to hear.
This is going to end in a ball of flames so large you Brits will be able to see the glow across the pond...
I worry we will see more than the glow, judging by some recent rhetoric, the embers will land and reignite Nigel Farage and Boris
