Featured New Pipes

Latest on making some TT pipes with an original bend rather than the pattern ones i have fitted on my TT, as you can see in the first pic of my bike there is a rather long straight piece of pipe before the pipe actually bends coming out of the head and in the second pic of the original pipes you can see they bend far closer to the exhaust port and in the third pic is the first attempt at resolving this issue There is still more work to be done but hopefully it will mean that those who wish to have some correct shape replacement pipes inc all fitting will be able to get some soon.

 

Its purely a matter of aesthetic/originality, as the TT was a competition bike for the US market only this pipe is unique to this model only so restorers have so far had to accept pattern parts and sadly the bend is wrong on these. It has bugged me since restoring the bike so i'm attempting to address this for myself and other TT owners.

 

Progress this past 2 weeks, mock up pipes fitted on the bike that have a better bend at top and closer fit at the bottom, top bend still has to be made without the swage marks. Next its build an empty engine and stick it in an old frame for the final version of the pipes.
