good photo op just west of Reims (missed it in 2019 cos it was pissing down, been on the to do list for years) https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@49.2...=269.7725&pitch=0&thumbfov=100!7i16384!8i8192
Cheers @Stramasher ! I’ve been to Reims a few times but I’ve always arrived too late and left too early to get there for a photo op! However, as it’s only 4.5 hours to Freiburg from Reims, I’m definitely going to be going to that exact location this time.
Just heard that the 2021 TT has been cancelled,no talk of rearranging that I know of They’re hoping to still run the Classic TT and MGP
I would also say that the Southern100 Pre TT Classic Races will be cancelled also, booked to go to those also. The S100 July International meet is also in jeopardy
I've got a ferry booked and a tunnel crossing from 2 cancelled trips this year, so I'm hoping to put them to good use next year. Trip to Germany/Austria in September and maybe a France trip. I wanted to do Spain but the Mrs vetoed that
I usually book for the NW around January, both the ferry tickets with Stena and accommodation via Booking.com. Will have to keep an eye on this.
I’m looking to go up to Assen for the MotoGP at the end of June. Have been doing this trip, staying at the same hotel, for the past 30 years. Missed it so much last year and really looking forward to getting back up there to see the hotel owners as well as the races. It is an amazing area and the Dutch are great people who enjoy a good time. Just need to check on the ferry ticket policy and the MotoGP ticket policy ...
just booked the eurotunnel. £45 each way which is actually cheaper than the ferry is! Thats in july so obviously going to shoot up soon as europe opens up me thinks!?
I've re booked my tunnel crossing for late July. £47 out £44 return. I also think it's going to raise a soon as Europe opens. Re booked the ferry for September just in case
Excellent! I'm off to freiburg (via reims for 1 night) for a week as it's a fantastic place with amazing roads around it. Where are you heading too? Sun? Roads? Both!? I figured that if it all goes south with covid etc, i'll only lose £90 as i've booked hotels via booking.com so free cancelation.
Dunno yet. Possibly Belgium or Germany for the tunnel. France for the ferry, might just head South for 3 days and then make my way back. Agree with booking.com, we always use them. You can re book as many times as you like so if it goes tit's up just re book.
Got a holiday booked in middle of June in the South of France, transferred from last year. I suspect it'll be a no go as I don't think France will be open by then the way they're going, but fingers crossed anyway. If it isn't I'll just transfer it to next year.
If you can't make your trip for whatever reason you can just move your Eurotunnel booking forward to another time. I've moved mine from last July twice now!
