Greetings from Saskatchewan. It is winter here snow and cold so waiting for spring. I ride a 2018 Speedmaster and a 2010 Harley Ultra Classic.
Is that uranium mines ? I applied for a job at the caterpillar dealer in Regina , Kramer I think they were called. We did the arithmetic and the numbers just didn't work for us. If I had been twenty years younger maybe. We actually flew my Thunderbird 900 to Vancouver ( rich friend) and then rode to Alaska . It took a while to pay it all off but I wouldn't have missed it for the world, well all but the rear wheel puncture in Yukon ! I also owns B.S.A. Bantam. There was a lady called Peggy Iris Thomas who rode her 125cc. two stroke bantam across Canada . I would dream of doing that myself. I think the attraction is the wide open spaces you have . Our crowded little island is a little challenged for open roads.
Petrol: I worked in quite a number of different mines in Canada. A couple of places I worked required me to fly in / out of Watson Lake Yukon. The last years were in uranium. The industry was good to me and my family. Glad you had the chance for a good motorcycle tour in Canada. We do have wide open spaces. I have visited the UK a number of times as my wife is from the Medway towns. i quite enjoy the history and museums that you have in your country. Nicholaj: Yes I like my garage, attached to the house and heated. I can work on bikes or do some hobby work in comfort even if it is -40 outside.
Miner999r Welcome to the family. Great intro and fantastic pictures. Yes I agree with you you have earned a little me time for you passion. Go enjoy and keep smiling. Joe.
Welcome to the forum, miner! Very nice bikes and a nice cozy garage, too. I hope that your winter is mild and short so that you can be back out on those sweet bikes soon. Enjoy the forum!
