hello all, when I turn my d600 off instead of both headlights switching off only one does,i thought it might have been linked to the indicator switch but even with them turned off the headlight still remains on,if relevant it is the left hand headlight as I sit on it, for the time being I have pulled the power wire of the bulb, any help would be appreciated, thanks

Hi Ady, there's every chance it's a faulty relay.

Just a thought have you turned the key past the steering lock and into the park position?

Hello b12ady, has it always done this or only recently ?? have you got a headlight switch or is it controlled by ignition switch, I would say biglad comment is the correct route to go if this has only happened recently (but if relay sticks the only way to deactivate light would be to disconnect battery).

hello all, thanks for the reply`s,went looking for relays, gave up and bought a manual found them swopped them over hooray the dipped beam worked properly, talking to one of the lads,he said take the relay apart clean both surfaces gently put it back together and it should work and it did,so being the tight git that I am I don't have to buy another relay just yet:D:D:D

b12ady happy days thanks for letting us know the fix all very helpful, the contacts do have a hardened surface and you may find it will happen again please make sure you put repaired relay back in same place on headlamp as these relays cover more important supported items ie, fuel pump engine management systems and mark it with paint.
