    Hi guys,

Does anyone have a set of these fitted to a Speed RS yet? I am struggling to work out whether or not they actually fit based on suppliers that disagree with each other.

    Thanks!

They have fitment lists on the oz website.

Are these OZ alloys actually lighter than stock?
What is the weight of stock alloys?

And why do you want to spend money on alum alloys, instead of carbon?

    Carbon degrades over time....

    How quick do they degrade?

BMW supplies carbon wheels from factory for their S1000RR

There are carbon wheels for bicycles.
There are carbon frames etc etc.

I saw the Piega forged wheels on a stand at the NEC bike show (remember them?). I just stood and gawped at them (I like the gunmetal version). They are absolutely beautiful; a work of art, and in my opinion, nicer than any carbon wheel.

I'm pretty sure that Thornton Hundred have used these on their heavily customised supercharged Speed Triple RS (build in progress) - perhaps it's worth emailing them and seeing if you can get confirmation of fitment?

I have contacted TH and had no response in over a week now. quite disappointing really as I could have been interesting in some proper work by them.

Unless its a Garage Queen. Maybe your blessed with perfect roads, let alone a perfect climate.
Odds are still...They'll more than likely warp, maybe even fracture before they start to degrade/delaminate. They will not help your resale...Nor would/should anyone trust a used Carbon wheel set..

There is nothing practical about having Carbon wheels on a street bike.
    but I guess you've already installed a tail tidy.
