Your opinion doesn’t make me what you allege. My immediate family have had it. I know how hard it hits healthy people.
However, we need to be objective not emotional or the response will be irrational. Do not deny the evidence that does not appeal to you.
NONE of the above minimises real grief which I respect and acknowledge.

I had an injection on the 13 Oct. and another 60% stronger on 21st October for a trial.
Don’t know whether they were the real thing or placebos.
From how I felt after the second one I think they were real.

Makes a world of difference when you are a knowing and consenting guinea pig. By the way, did they want a DNA sample?

I appreciate your contribution. Unlike Boris Johnson at least you are not an immunity denier!

I read it. It does rely on estimations in some areas. Also, the problem we "lay people" have is that even the experts do not agree. So who do we believe ?
I think it's best to play safe. Go along with the lockdowns, adhere to the rules and take a vaccine when available.

    It’s dead easy.

    1. Ignore the politicians.

    2. Compare the forecasters (SAGE) with the evidence (Heneghan, Yeadon, Craig, Gupta & Co (seriously qualified) helpfully consolidated by Ivor Cummins on various platforms. See who have been consistently on the money. We no longer need to guess we have a hard record.

I would also add we have had an abject failure of the media who prize access over the truth.

    Boring..

    1. is easy, i've been ignoring politicians for years(and the media).

    2. not so easy. I can't really be arsed, i've reached the stage of surrender.

Like I said in my previous post, i'm just going to keep to the rules and wait for the vaccine. I've read @Judd Dredd 's explanations of vaccines versus chemical drugs, he seems to be in the know so I'm happy to take it. In fact i've been taking flu vaccines for twenty years.

Never once mentioned my wife’s knowledge of pharmacology......

It is just not part of my make up to go along with things that don’t add up. I used to be ‘authority’ so I don’t do sheep or ostrich. I do my own homework.

Yes I can see you've put a lot of effort into your "homework". The results are plain to see. The subject is just not top of my list.

    Fair enough.

In calling me a Jehova’s Witness Hubaxe confuses:

    My persistence (I confess!)
The difference between HOW to think
and WHAT to think. I am a proponent of the former and letting people draw their own conclusions.

I have major difficulty with no thought being applied. That is truly ovine. i.e. Sheep like.

belief, cognition bias, systematic refusal of all "official" numbers.

When you play the man rather than the ball we know you lack the basic arguments.

I am also sufficiently self aware to laugh at the idea I seek self affirmation otherwise I would be on a platform like Twitter or Facebook where I have no account.....

However if a few scruffs on here happen to agree then so much the better for our politics.

And if you believe official figures based on the PCR test you fail to understand the false basis of all official figures. It is simply too unreliable to be used as a diagnostic tool. Google PCR Whooping Cough pertussis.....

I've browsed this with interest and have to agree with some points raised around the death rate. It's very very low around 0.5% in those below 60 (could be slightly lower) I believe with no underlying health conditions. Many 'normal' deaths have been mislabelled as COVID. As in this person had a number of health conditions and may have had the virus. I know hospital staff and I believe them on this.

Those in good health i.e healthy weight and good physical fitness etc are less likely to suffer severe symptoms (in some cases minimal or none) or in the unlikely case they do they are more likely to recover quickly.

Closing gyms/leisure facilities makes no sense to me because of the above. The outbreaks were ridiculously low in leisure facilities. I won't be having a vaccine on this basis as feel it unnecessary but understand those wanting it/needing it because of age/ poor health that it may help.

A government programme of encouraging healthy eating and more activity would makes sense to help people beat this in the long term and lengthen healthy life span full stop.

    Hi,
Group talked to by Doctor prior to blood sample and throat swab.
Next app. is this coming Friday for blood sample. No more injections but a few more appointments before the results are known next October.
As I’m on this trial I (Along with all volunteers) won’t be eligible for any vaccine that might become available.
77, so on the last lap, makes no difference to me.

    Cheers,Ken.

COVID Deaths are mislabeled on a regular basis. It is just a way to push the narrative of fear. It is also a way for hospitals to make more money. They get paid more for COVID patients so testing positive is just a plus for them.

"ORLANDO, Fla. (CBS12) — A man who died in a motorcycle crash was counted as a COVID-19 death in Florida, according to a new report from FOX 35 Orlando.

According to the report, Orange County Health Officer Dr. Raul Pino was asked whether two coronavirus victims in their 20s had any underlying medical conditions that could have potentially made them more susceptible to the virus.

Pino's answer was that one of the two people who was listed as a COVID death actually died in a motorcycle crash. Despite health officials knowing the man died in a motorcycle crash, it is unclear whether or not his death was removed from the overall count in the state.

Dr. Pino tells FOX 35 that one "could actually argue that it could have been the COVID-19 that caused him to crash."":confounded:
