This made me laugh

Something very similar happened at my local Peugeot garage. They didn't position the lifting arms correctly, lifted the car and buckled the roof. Had to give the owner a new car!

 

...which is very similar to 'your dinner is in the dog'.

On a similar theme, I used to be a full time regular bin a bikers pub, The Braddylls in Ulverston, and there was a fat obnoxious git always in there. Thought he was something special. One weekend as he was stood at the bar spouting shit, his wife came in and poured his roast dinner over his head. Oh how we laughed

 

They didn't see Covid coming, either...

 

It might have taken two weeks, but finally they got the clock put back.

 

Paddy phones the hotel's reception desk and says, "Room 168, could ye please send someone over roit away, I'm having argument wid der woife and she's said she's gonna jump out der window." The concierge replies, "I'm sorry sir, but we cannot intervene, this seems to be a personal issue." "Now ye listen to me ye little bollox," yells Paddy, ". . . der fecking window is jammed shut, it's a maintenance issue!"
