Kin ell !!! its a small world mate.
Pete painted the car black at some point (early 80s), it all reacted and crazed like mad. He got the hump with it and it sat sad and unloved in his garage for nearly 20 years, until i was lucky enough to have a chance conversation with him in 2000.

Sorry to bore you all with car chat, lets get back to true English hogs.

Too grimey to take the Rocket out so it was back on the GS for a trip to the old WW2 RAF airfield at Davidstowe, North Cornwall

    Sorry its me again.
Thanks for the pics SLEEPLY you have reminded me of an event that happened here back in about 76.
A bunch of us went down to Bossiney on our bikes for a holiday. We used to drink in the Tintagel Arms where we met up with the local bikers. One of the locals suggest a run over to the Rising Sun pub for a drink. Sadly we never made it, one of my mates on his Triton hit a sheep which threw him off his bike resulting in loads of cuts an bruises and a broken arm. Bike wasn't too bad broken levers ect which the local boys sorted out. Cant remember how mate and bike got home.
    Prang happened here.

    Hi Stolly
I can’t believe how much I like this bike. It just makes me smile when I’m riding it. Had a Multistrada, KTM 1090 and a Tiger 1200 previously but this is more usable than those.. Didn’t think I would be taken with it but went for a test ride and could then see what all the fuss was about. It just does all things well without excelling in one particular area.

Looks like the house in t'background of the 3rd pic is a Brit. They've got the Union flag and an owd British phone box in their garden.

Good eyes. Maybe it's a landing point for Dr. Who. We were up near Canada at this point

Great pic Richard. It amazes me how much time people put into something like that..

I know must have taken a while to make. looks good close up.
I believe it was made to advertise Calne Bike Day and is located where the camping field is for the event. sadly not on this year but always a massive turnout.
Hopefully they will maintain the bike as the area around it is looking a bit sad with empty advertising hoardings and weeds growing up.

Well, I had 125 miles this morning in rain, torrential rain, hail and that low winter’s sun that makes the roads shine like the pulp fiction briefcase! Out on me yellow peril, with my buddy on his tranny.
We stopped off at St. John the Baptist church in Tunstall (13th century) which was attended by the Brontë sisters in their educational years. It featured in the “Fake of fortune” program for a genuine Francesco Montemezzano artwork worth a few bob. I never knew any of this until about 8am this morning... but it’s a pretty building nonetheless!
We then took various back roads and lanes over the Forest of Bowland and out towards Giggleswick. From there, we snuck around Ingleborough via the Ribbleshead viaduct and down into Ingleton plus a few more back roads home.

Great photo and great Norton lineup, @rogerp! I've never owned a Norton but have always been drawn to them and loved them. Looks like a beautiful day for Norton ride!
