You assume correctly - that's a big black fridge... I try and keep it relatively well stocked...:yum

"Relatively" is a relative term, Vulpes. Especially in the case of your Man Cave :joy:. I'd say that's a "well" stocked fridge and that you can delete the "relatively" adjective.

The bowtie was the missus' work.
She was found in one of those discount type shops, at a fiver. I bought three. Perfect gifts

The bikini girl was found in the shop. Not the missus. Just to be clear

I see you have excellent taste in tonic -Fever Tree is the best (and rarely found in my little town).

I agree - and @Sandi T. would too... I'm actually surprised she hasn't picked up on that! It's far superior to any other tonic.

Fever Tree is our go-to for tonic, too, as well as their ginger beer for Moscow Mules. :):yum

I don't often drink ginger beer, but when I do, it's Fever Tree!

Our local shop carries it - but indeed, not cheap!

alas..... I can only have tea or coffee - my medication advises not to drink alcohol.... just when you think that life is getting better it kicks you in the private parts yet again

    45 cl. Vodka
    90 cl. Ginger ale
    Juice of half a lime
    Couple of splashes angostura bitter
    A sprig of fresh mint.

I used ginger ale because I had no ginger beer in the house- pretty good actually.

That sounds delicious and refreshing! :yum It's great that you were creative and used what you had available, too. :)

Plus I'm a "measurement" person so love that you put specific measurements in your recipe, Vulpes. Mr. Sandi teases me about how I measure everything, but that came from an educational measurement prof in my doctoral program who impressed its importance on me. And that perspective drifted even into my cocktail-making adventures. :joy:

It's great to be able to make do with what's available - works for cooking, too... o_O I often throw something delicious together after a rummage through fridge and larder, no recipes needed!

Yes, I do that for cooking sometimes, too. It's a handy way to do a bit of clearing out of the fridge and pantry. But it's most fun for the bit of a "challenge" it presents in being a creative chef! Now you've inspired me to do just that. And believe me, since COVID hit, Mr. Sandi has stocked our pantry well--perhaps too well?! We've definitely got provisions laid in for an emergency. :)

It's nice to know I can be inspirational, too . We'd been out hunting yesterday, and when we got home were a bit peckish. But not much in the house. So I fired up the BBQ and made "flammkuchen", a kind of pizza from the Alsace - a thin dough base topped with sour cream mixed with cheese, on top of which went thinly sliced onions, bacon and mushrooms... yummy! o_O
