Not many photos available of the previous bikes except the Kawi V2K. I've currently got a Goldwing. The Honda XL500S was one of the most fun -talk about a wheelie monster. I didn't realize it, but it came with a plastic clutch lever and it broke once right when I pulled it in to stop for a red light in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Scared the crap out of me when I shot through traffic, but thank God I missed all the cars (and they missed me). I obviously replaced both levers with aluminum.
That covers since about '87, had the GSX for five years, the Gixxer for a couple, the Z1000 for abput eighteen i think, blade for about four.

Don’t have original pictures but these examples off the net give the right idea To start a CB100n in 1981 like this Then a couple of triumphs (TwentyOne and Daytona) followed in 1987 by a CB 750/4 F2 like this And last none Triumph a lovely Z1000 like this in 1990 something
Blue were much quicker, mine did 70 at 12000rpm and 65 with pillion.. I don't know why it was just ridiculously quick compared to every other 100 I came across... Even embarrassing my mates 250n wet dream.
Blimey Swampy yours was lightening, I once took 20 minutes to pass a double decker bus on a B road much to my mates amusement - it even gets mentioned now
Worst bike ever cb750 super sport so uninspiring to ride I gave up riding for many years. Shoved into the back of the barn, yeah it's still there rusting I presume. Too ashamed to sell it. Only about 8000 miles on the clock. This yellow turd exactly.
I wudda probably kept both those bikes longer. I couldn't get on with the 16" front wheel, on the FZ. Kept feeling like it was gonna tuck all the time. Absolutely loved the TL, but due to the shit rear suspension, it kept cracking the frame. What an engine though, mi first V twin.
2 of the more recent ones, and before you ask the oil was nothing to do with the VFR But I still hanker after another Guzzi
