Oh (insert profanity of choice here). Hope there's no damage to you or the bike. Glad the twig pulled through tho, makes it all worth it.
On Sunday I got back from a fabulous 12 day, 2,000 mile tour of Scotland and bike looked like this... So guess what I did today? After a couple of all over bike cleans. paintwork wax and drowning the chain in paraffin I checked the chain expecting there to be a lot of slack after 2,000 miles but was surprised as it was in the middle of the specified range (I had adjusted it to the lower limit before touring). As the day was warm with clear blue sky I decided to make the most of it and go for a ride. Bike felt totally different without the weight I was carrying around Scotland (Mrs Mouse + luggage) Unfortunately did the whole ride with a wet arse as water from washing was still in seat crevices.
Went for a run on the Street Triple before the weather turns. Stopped for a quick picture at Holdenby House.
Let's compile all your posts into a book -it'll be a best seller, Duck. We'll be rich, I tell ya', filthy rich!!!
We both stood by the gatepost and glared at the gatepost malevolently. Well, the Trip had her back turned so I had to to all the glaring. Welding should be done tomorrow though. In time for rain on Thurs.
The seat is at the upholstery, as the bike can't move I decided to make a windscreen deflector for long travels. Didn't want to pay 100 buck for a MRA Vario Screen, didn't want neither to pay 10 peanuts for an Aliexpress one, and wanted to make my own and experiment designs. I end up buying a very well made set of MRA clamps for 20 euros. I have some Altuglass leftover, I bent it with an hot hair gun on a template I made from an aluminium plate. Last pieces between the deflector and the clamp were designed on Tinkercad and 3D printed from ABS. The result is encouraging. If the angle is not fine, I just have to modify the design and reprint a set.
