Got to agree i have the Britishbikes seat and good around town. But lordy did my trip to Scotland make me walk funny for a while. Regards Joe.
I had the original flat seat revamped to this! A bit higher and gell pad fitted. Still needs breaking in but much more comfortable
Put the new seat on, but I've only been able to get in a ride of about 50 miles with it so far. I need to get in a longer ride to better evaluate the comfort factor. Quite a difference in the looks of the bike with the seat installed.
Looks a lot nicer than standard that's for sure. Look at the space in that garage, I would be filling it up with bikes
LOL, if I could afford to I would. Had 2 bikes at the same time in the garage a few years back, a Thruxton Ace, and a Ural cT.
I tried a bike with the Burton seat and was quite impressed. As it happens I saw a K&Q seat on eBay, together with a touring windscreen at a good price, so I bought those and they work well. I was also quite favourably impressed with the seat on a current T100, much better than the older type. I don’t really understand why people are so obsessed with putting their feet down flat. I’m 5’8” with 29” inside leg, I had a Norton Commando “back in the day” which wasn’t s short bike, I’ve had other tall bikes since and really, as long as I don’t actually fall over at traffic lights I’ve never found it to be a problem, especially with electric start.
I definitely think the grey top looks good. I was going to have one but ended up buying the K&Q seat because the price was right.
Being old enough to have used those bloody awful elasticated seat covers from Halfords, I wouldn’t go back to a stitched seat for any reason!
