I was down in deepest, darkest Hampshire for the nifty fifty endurance race this weekend.....see link to thread. Main reason for this post is I saw briefly what I think was a Nightstorm, or possibly a Storm (had the leather panniers on) at the roundabout in Collingbourne heading for Tidworth at about 3:30pm on Saturday. Was it anyone on here? https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/nifty-fifty.26113/#post-473043
Took a few days off midweek to take advantage of empty roads on the west coast of Ireland. Day 1 great, a little light rain but nothing to worry about, Day 2 my boots were squelching as I walked, the rain never let up, so much for waterproof boots! Day 3 and 4 back to good weather. I don't think I will ever get to experience the Ring of Kerry like that again. Sun shining but no tourists, very little traffic, many places closed down. It was fantastic to drive but more than a little sad to see how this virus has crushed the small local economies. About 1650KM in all and at a pretty slow pace on the small coastal roads but the Tiger 1200 is a very nimble beast when it wants to be.
I know what you mean about the weather in Ireland lol. The Ring of Kerry has to be a must for any bikers, when I did it the rain was bouncing. Still loads of fun, just need to watch out for the buses
Years ago when the inlaws lived in Troutbeck I came up from Ullswater and got stuck near the top - it had been snowing and my trusted Peugeot 205 couldn't make the last bit near the summit had to turn round and take the long way home...
Borrowed a paddock stand from my mate Gordon Had a reet fanny on getting it to work but got there in the end Then used some ratchet straps to lift the front end up so I can remove the front wheel and get the tyre changed The lift hole in the garage cross beam is left over from years ago when I had my Fireblade hanging while the wheels got Powdercoated
And it’s out Didn’t have a 17mm Allen key so I did the old two nuts on a bolt trick Will get the tyre fitted by a bloke not far from me cos he’s got all the gear Think I’ll overhaul the brakes while I’m at it
Is it only me but I can imagine you slicing up the christmas turkey with a grinder.....? "'Cus its quicker!" i can hear you shout......
Have a look at Squaredeals https://www.squaredeals-ltd.co.uk/ they do full front sets (4 pads) of EBC sintered pads for most Triumphs for just under £40 and rears for £20. They also do other far cheaper makes.
