so, on a ride out today in the services my alarm set itself and then started sounding. Turned it on and off kept happening so I started the bike and rid to my mates. Been on and off the bike all day Aprox 15 times no problem. Got home locked away alarm won't stop sounding unless disabled and ignition on?!? Now my battery is dead (I hope as I've been fiddling) any tips? Factory fitted data tool 3
If yours is the same as the one I had on my T100, there's a button on the front of the remote and another on the back - and with a combination of button presses you can turn the alarm off completely.
.................or get the plug and totally dis-connect it. There are 2 types of plug, so let your Triumph dealer tell them which one you need.
Try this press both buttons for approx 10 secs with ignition on until you hear a beep switch ignition off this should shut alarm down.
that puts it into winter mode with just the immobiliser on, remember it resets when you turn the ignition back on so when you put her a way again you will have to repeat the process
Mines the series 3, clear fob, 1 round button 1 oval button, tried everything now so battery is out so the neighbours don't burn my house down!!! Is it possible my bike battery is causing the issue? I did 50 miles stopped - had the issue Continued riding on and off for 4 hours stopping and starting - no issue. Get home park up nothing until an hour or so later?
Crispey is right but if this does not silence your alarm you may have a alarm fault you then might have to purchase a shorting plug as HO recommends.have you got a operators guide for alarm fitted ??
Yes I do, it has armed disarmed or service/valet mode. No option to turn off it seems, the bike starts and runs fine, just the alarm constantly goes off! Only just started
Possibly the bike battery is discharging itself due to a shorted cell, when it reaches the low voltage threshold to set the alarm off, the alarm sounds. So you start the bike and recharge the battery and the problem goes away until next time it's left long enough to drop again.
When I disarm it goes off and 20 seconds later it automatically re arms itself led flashed 2 beeps and then the alarm goes off
Get rid of it, I stripped my Datatool 3 out yesterday and riding the bike today without any shenanigans was such a relief. Incidentally you don't need a blanking plug , just two wire loops bridging specific terminals.
Sorry mate - if I disable alarm and turn on ignition all is fine Its if I allow the alarm to enable itself it goes off
I would not go cutting the bike wiring and bridging cables unless you are 100% ok with doing this to your bikes wiring a factory fit shorting plug costs about £5.00 from Triumph dealership and will put bike back to pre-alarm condition.
sorry i read it that alarm was going off while riding best put it in service mode and count flashes of led to see what is triggering it then.
