It's taken a couple of weeks but today I've caught up with this thread having started on page 1. Lots of great songs, a few dubious ones, and a several interesting discoveries now waiting for their place in my CD collection. Thanks to all for the posts. Here's something gentle to start with from me. I just love the quality of Tim's voice.
This is a band that was funny as f*CK to see live back in the early 80's from Kansas, 3 guys, Steve, Bob and Rich. Later went on to be the totaly politically incorrect Rainmakers Did a UK your I think https://images.app.goo.gl/Azh4S4YN17FMWZ3Z8
La Futura was a return to the grungy, dirty sound of ZZ Top before Eliminator. I've put it back on heavy rotation this week.
Guessing that was the Bomber tour and I was there too Second row tickets so managed to get up against the stage. Even got Fast Eddie's plectrum from the Motorhead encore DS
Yep Bomber tour, drove up from mid Kent on the back of a mates Bonnie and was knackered by the time we got there , awesome concert though (when I was awake) Saw ZZ Top at Hammersmith as well another great concert - managed to stay awake for that one
Yeah, I tend to jump on to allmusic or wikipedia if I find something new and interesting. This one was a bit like the the Manic Street Preachers' story.
It's this sort of shenanigans that makes me wonder whether I should put my guitar back in the case and not bother taking it out again.
This could see me through a lot of miles on a long journey, interspersed with coffee stops and Walter Trout.
