Thanks, Dilli. It's good to be out and about on Speedy! Thank you for your kind words about our Annie and I will give her multiple cuddles from you. Good advice to keep in with Aunt Pat and Uncle Ted.
Oh my, Thripster...overheating at 78ºF? You need to come spend a few weeks in Tucson and we'll get you into shape for the heat. I'm living (though ofter perspiring) proof that you can acclimate.
We stopped there earlier this year on the mini GMU but it was closed. Hey ho the sausage butty looks fantastic....
Went to hilltop to get the ecu done.... He couldn't do it safely as there's shit loads off FFFFFFFFF's and then a few other letters randomly placed in the hex code at the start of the ecu code. That was weird when he showed me. First time he's seen it on a triumph rs but I did notice that when the 6k service was done, It did say on the paperwork that the ecu has been locked?! He needs it 100% correct before progress so I can't blame him. He did ask me too but we both agreed that I didn't want to walk home! Seriously , the chap there is one of the nicest guys ever and we had a good two hr chat about old school (for us) bikes (rgv, gpz, tz 700, kris, kettles, gs's etc) and all disasters over the years. Mostly female related too as it turns out for some 80's reason..... A thoroughly good waste of a day and on the way home, I kinda realised that actually , a speed triple rs makes me smile as is as I was chucking it into some nice corners and throughly loving the noise coming out of the bikes arse end. A nice end to a nice day.
Yep, one pic is from yesterday when it was 94° and the air was clogged with wildfire smoke. The other is from today: 33° and snowing hard. Never a dull moment!
I guess that is the same front that blew through here but we didn't get the snow, just the cold and the wind. Too hot one day, too cool the next.
Me and @Wessa were at Yondermans today, probably after you. I think we got there about 11:45 ish. Never been there before, had ham, two eggs, chips, bread and butter and a mug of tea. Pretty good scoff, will go again.
Yep cracking ride around the dales today. @andypandy 's kwaka looks stunning in the flesh, mind the tiger looks good as well. Brunch was very good as well, @steve lovatt eat your heart out; Yondermans ham egg and chips is awesome .
Yep a shame we could not get together, and yes it was a perfect day for a ride . Next time you are heading into the dales give us a shout.
Great-looking bikes! And the eatery has shelves for your helmets!!! What a great idea I wish would catch on here in the states.
LED headlight conversion (read, bulb change) on the SS. Not quite P&P as had to modify the reflector slightly by removing the beam shroud. The new bulb wouldn't fit with the shroud insitu but the beam cutoff is pretty much same as the OEM H4 halogen without it only but whiter and brighter trying it in the garage. A ride out tonight will be the real test.
