I would not be in favour of that.

This forum is as good as it is because the membership is relatively small and select. Each new member is subjected to at least 45 mins piss-taking before being allowed in.

Opening up to Face-ache would allow just anybody to get involved - peeps below the age of 45 for example:eek::eek::eek::eek:.

    No,no,no. We can't have that.

Definitely NOT a good idea (in my opinion). FB has been the death of many good forums over the recent years.
I like the way the are at the moment. You can easily search and find good information from months / years ago.
Why does everything have to be on FB these days???

Just thought ride outs and people selling stuff would be more easier to see and comment. Just a thought however.

My opinion however I'm the younger generation so that might be what it is. But I still like the forum just I think somethings would be easier on Facebook as it is worldwide.

Hi Steven, I see where you are coming from, but the problem with Facebook is it opens things up to much whereas forums keep things compartmentalised and seperate. There are Facebook pages already for Hinckley triumph owners as a whole or for each individual bike so making this a Facebook page wouldn't add to anything but detract from this friendly personal community that we have going here. I'm sure if people on this forum wanted Facebook they have joined one of the many groups out there already.

I'm new and maybe don't hold a deep enough position on the forum to have a opinion but I wouldn't want to see it go over to Facebook, as said before many a good forum has been lost, plus not everyone has Facebook, we're not all sheep!

We will monitor the members of the Facebook page closely as it is a closed group and can only join if agreed by an admin.

PS we wouldn't want members to detract from the forum and instead use the FB page more the other way around to be honest. FB should be for fun but as other members have said, you cannot search for info etc so you could never use it as a forum.

Isn't Facebook for pre pubescent children after all most of us here are adults. Absolutely refuse to have anything to do with FB, Twatter or any of those things, life is too short.
