I'm also a black bike fan. I quite like the Rocket R in just red, but I'm not too much a fan of the silver GT with red bits, I know it's nice, but it's not for me ... so personal preference I guess.

I have a TFC Rocket, and one thing would be that the rear brake is bad. I think there's an issue with it to be honest, my dealer told me about the issue, changed out the brake fluid (which after only 500 miles was apparently almost black), which improved it for a bit, but now (after a total of about 1200 miles) can literally slam it to the floor, and it barely affects bike speed at all.

Oh, and another thing, the bluetooth module (if you were thinking of getting it) is also crap. At least for me, it just doesn't work. Anecdotally, I think it basically doesn't work with iPhones. If you have an android phone (and headset) that are listed as compatible, you should be fine. Only relevant of course if you actually wanted bluetooth in the first place.

That might seem pretty dire. But apart from those 2 things, the bike is great, great fun (and surprisingly easy) to ride, looks good, a real head turner.

    Hi Yeti956
Welcome to heaven. Buy the R3, you'll love it. Like David Downes, I have the Rocket TFC but I have no issue with the rear brake. I've done just over 3k miles now through the UK, France and Northern Spain and she still purrrrrrs perfectly. I do agree with david on the Bluetooth though, crap connection through the iPhone to my Sena SRL2. Only use it to connect the Go pro now and just BT the iPhone directly to SRL2. Back to the bike, I can find very little bad to say, extremely comfortable, very capable, guzzles fuel but it is 2.5l, and most of all, it makes you smile eveytime you ride her. Buy buy buy. Colour is not important, it will get eveyones attention every time you pull up.

Interesting - was considering the bluetooth module for the navigation option - I have an Iphone SE 2020 , was wondering if there were compatibility issues ?

I mean, probably. I haven't heard of anyone with any iPhone getting to work as it should. I suggest you go to a showroom and ask to try it out (give it an extended test though, ideally on a test ride or something), as I did have things mostly working when sat on the bike in the garage, then weirdness as I started riding.

If it works however, be sure to let me know. I used to have the old SE, before the battery tanked and was forced to 'upgrade' to the ridiculously oversized iPhone 11 Pro, shortly after that they released the SE2 and I was bathed in regret, pining for a smaller form factor with good internals
