So just recently bought a 2000 955i with 35k in Roulette green .
The bike had not been used since 2014!
Love the bike already , last triple I rode was a new 1999 1st generation Tiger many years ago .
With the S3 I want to refurb and also upgrade so starting out it’s had a full fluid change , rear brake strip & clean , new battery , new hub bearings going in next weekend , valve clearances and then it’ll be ready for mot .
I’m looking for lots of info and both forums I’ve joined don’t have what I’m looking for exactly .
Over time I’ll be getting the frame , SSSA and all the little brackets powder coated , New bolts , radiator refurbed , and will refurb the Carbon hi level can back to glossiness , and the bike will end up black at some point , possibly with a black tinted laquer over the roulette green which would look really trick.
I also want to put the later rear wheel, subframe and tail piece / side panels from an ‘07 S3 and I might go with an underseat exhaust if I can find a good mix of looks without reducing power, and eventually usd forks with radial calipers and wheel from a later model

what I’m looking for is info to convert it to 147bhp like the Daytona models . so far I know cams and bores are different ...
cams are easy enough , but what else is needed for that conversion ? Is the engine management system needed also , fuel rail & injectors ? Cam & crank pickups ? Coils ?

Would be great to find some advice but nothing came up here on the search function .

    Thanks in advance ...

as far as i am aware the 147 motor is quite different to the one you have, the bottom end looks changed , it may be easier to do an engine swap. it has been done. google is your friend. good luck sounds like a nice project
