Great minds think alike mr.duck, started off at Knott end (other side of Blackpool) and then through the trough of bowland to dunsop bridge for a bacon butty and a brew. About 120 miles all told.
sadly that’s not mine! 2 Norton’s, a velocette venom and a Vincent with a sidecar at Knott end this morning.
Pushed on to Matlock mate, spoke to the geezer at the Cat, apparently the distillery is opening in about 3 weeks

no problem bud, I’m in lytham st.annes, plenty of bacon butty opportunities within 100 miles of here!
Sounds like rubber. It tyre clear all the way around? Look on inner fender and such. Any marks on tyre? Can you jack up the rear and spin to see if it's weight dependent?
@pistonbroke Funnily enough while out on our ride today, piicies on Speed Triple page, Knott End was mentioned as our next trip. Never been before so looking forward it!
I thought it sounded like rubber too. Depending on how certain you are @Herman66 that the noise is from rear wheel, might also be worth considering the front sprocket because that has rubber on both sides to provide some cushioning for chain. Maybe something is caught in there?
I had a run on the Thruxton to the ponderosa cafe today. Loads of bikes out. I got talking to a guy called Shaun and his wife who has a YouTube channel called “tins on tour”. Nice couple, but no surprises there they were hard core bikers
