hi i'm street fighting a 900 sprint sport , it's a 99 carb model and wondered if any one knows if a tiger top yoke will fit straight on
i,ve seen a couple of threads on here for a 955 but think the frame for these is a later version
any help will be remembered at xmas:)

Don't know for the tiger, I used a Thunderbird 900 top yoke on mine, a 92 trophy 1200.

    what a shame,murdering a sprint sport,lol.
or if you intend using standard tubular bars you can drill out the original yoke, there are lugs underneath to show you where to drill, you just need bolt on bar clamps then.

Is the 99 yoke different then? On my '92 trophy the standard yoke is only about 5 mm thick in the area you need to drill. I wouldn't want to rely on that little amount of material as the handlebar mounting.

no raised lug under these and yes it is only about 5mm so I would'nt trust it either,

    lol I believe ya.
be good to see the pics as it takes shape then.
I know I read somewhere a while back that thunderbird sport top yoke works but I cannot find it so cannot verify, think you needed the bottom yoke as well tho if I recall right. Sorry dont know about the tiger, may be worth asking in the triumphRAT site too

I think top & bottom yokes are still cheaper than the top yoke conversions on ebay,I'll have to take a run down the local breakers and I'll post pics as soon as it starts taking shape

I only had to fit a top yoke. if your concerned with the final look then top and bottom matching yokes are obviously the way to go. It seems the yokes are fairly interchangeable so there's a good chance a tiger 1 would fit.

Happy to help. For Christmas I'd like either a Thunderstorm or a Rocket :D

The thread on rat suggests it doesn't line up, I guess that respondent is frightened of his hammer...

they are ok,had them on my Sprint but changed to a sprint mfg adaptor plate, 1 coz I prefer the look and 2 coz the bars are closer and not such a stretch
