Mate, all the best. I've three kids and two grandkids. I've a little idea what a infuriating, hard, brilliant, rewarding, expensive, maddening and beautiful time you're going to have. Like you don't already know
Thanks everyone for your lovely, kind words. Like I said d though, we have to wait til t'judge makes his decision on Thursday. We've got everything crossed. Meanwhile we're off to see t'little chap tomorrow.
That's reet grand Foxy lad, reet groovy baby thas got theer. Bet tha missus is chuft ta'bits an'all. Am appy fer thas all.
Every credit to you pal, that’s a grand thing you’ve done there. I sorry that the poor lad will have to follow the blades though.
I'm absolutely thrilled for you and Mrs. Foxy and your grandson, Foxy. Congratulations and my very best wishes. He is an absolutely gorgeous baby and his new parents look quite dashing and happy--and content--as well!
As a (happily, determinedly and deliberately) childless person I have to say that the wonderful picture and utterly moving story are surprisingly emotive! I sincerely hope that the court reaches an entirely sensible decision and that you are ALL very, very happy Together. Good luck and very best wishes, Mr & Mrs Foxy - and sprog!
Wow Foxy, what a fabulous brave thing to do. You have my utmost respect and admiration. Absolute best wishes for the future.
Not many things touch my heart but you got me. A beautiful story and thankfully to have grand parents willing to keep their own in the family. I guess an easy decision but starting again nearing retirement age is a monumental decision. Well done to your wife and yourself, its a sad shame though that you have to work so hard and jump through so many hoops to be able to have what is your own family. God Bless you both and of course to the little man.
Mate that has pulled at my heart . My wife and I have often said that had that happened to us we would do what you have done rather than see any youngster with our blood go into care. Thankfully we never had to make the choice and have six fantastic grand children. Enjoy the new arrival and hats of to you mate
I'm hoping all goes well for you, your wife and grandson today Foxy I think we would all like to hear some good news today.
Thinking about you, your wife, and your grandson, @Foxy1. I'm hoping you have hope...and perhaps some prospective good news. Any changes or movement towards a positive resolution?
Mornin Sandi, thanks for your concern. We went to see him again yesterday, we love him to bits. It's all very complicated, and I can't go into too many details, especially on a public forum. Basically, his Mother has whilst Thursday to say if she wants him with her in special accommodation. It doesn't look like she's going to, she seems to have prioritised other things, over her son. If she doesn't say she wants him, then he will come to us, and we have loads of bridging visits pencilled in, which include him having overnight stays with us at our house, and t'final court hearing is on October 1st. We have another problem though, as our son has to be out of our house before we can have him here. Me and our lass, and mi son are searching frantically for a flat for him, and have visited loads, but private renters are very picky, and rightly so, I'd be t'same. So, at t'moment we're trying frantically to find our son summat, and have everything crossed for Thursday.
