    ‘Sounds amazing’ is a wholly subjective judgement. I suspect 95% of the population will disagree.
    Don’t want to be the resident curmudgeon but loud exhausts are not my idea of ‘how to win friends and influence people’. They are up there with Lycra clad mobile road blocks.

    My Booster Plug (from TEC) arrived yesterday and was relatively straightforward to fit - the hardest part is getting the connectors and wiring neatly packed into the tight space so that the cover goes back on. I did the reset adaption thing again (just in case) and took it out for a spin this evening.

    It's quite hard to test whether the bike stalls more easily as it needs a sub-conscious element...when you're not concentrating on it. However, it does seem stronger and smoother at pull away - not night and day different, but better. I think it's marginally smoother overall, but opening up the throttle in any of the gears feels about the same.

    I tried moving off sharply from standstill a few times and couldn't catch it out; I did make it 'cough' but it recovered, where I think previously it would have cut out.

    (Edit: After a couple of 'feisty' rides around the countryside, it's definitely pulls stronger and there's no sign of stalling. Job done!)

    The sound (for the 5% of us that love to hear a baffle-free twin) is still 'amazing' ;):yum

    In other news, I bought a CNC front brake reservoir from Total Triumph on eBay (click here) - half price at £40...although after a best offer attempt, we ended up at £39.90, saving an extra 10 pence :expressionless:.

    It's not listed as fitting the Scrambler 1200, but it fits on the standard bracket and will just need the hose cutting down to length so there's no kink. The latest kit (A9628057 which is now obsolete with no apparent replacement) includes a replacement bracket, but I just can't work out why. I'll post a photo once I've got it on the bike :)

    what other mods have you done to your scrambler besides the exhaust? It could be the reset that’s improved the bikes running? Mine has a arrow exhaust and runs really well, it has stalled but it’s rare so it could have been me on occasion, I recently did the reset on mine and I am sure it runs cooler afterwards.

    No other mods as such...just a Triumph accessory sweep:

    Radiator guard (I like the way the silver aluminium appears to run through to the bash plate), black engine and clutch badges, black intake covers, fork protectors, dresser bars, short stem indicators and the high level relocation kit, high level mudguard, a couple of nylon bobbins (for the TFC Daytona Moto2 in fact...bigger than the regular alloy ones), and a side stand extension.

    Plus the exhaust and TEC tail tidy...and I Plastidipped the silver sprocket cover in black too...and black head bolt covers.

    I'd run the reset adaption (reset adaptations?) after fitting the exhaust and again after the Booster Plug, which definitely smoothed out the idle on both occasions. It does (did) run very well to be honest...just making sure it's as good as it can get.

    I just need a baja tank :grinning: !!

    Great bike. Just get used to it then decide if it's playing up. Sometimes new bikes have different temperament's you just got to get used to them and show them who's the boss. God i took my 2010 bonnie out today and stalled twice. Never done that before but lately I have been riding the 900 and it has a nothing then everything clutch so its like learning all over. But great bike do enjoy.

    Thank you - and giving it time to get used to it, is sound advice Joe. Everything felt great on my short ride last night, so I'm looking forward to getting some miles down after all my initial fiddling about :D

    thanks for the heads up.
    my existing bracket has corrosion on it. i have seen seen different brackets on other bikes, maybe they have been upgraded on newer models?

    i will post a pic

    I've fitted the booster plug and Dna air filter and theres a definite improvement overall.

    Does anyone know of a tank specialist in the Kent area? Really like the Black

    That's not an original bracket - I'm guessing that you're not the first owner?

    I had a spare unused original bracket and reservoir off a 1200 XE - it looks like this:

    ...and here's the new reservoir on the original bracket, which needed bending to keep the hose (which I cut to 60mm) from kinking where it joins the master cylinder. The latest kit comes with a replacement bracket - but bending the original (remembering I have a spare I can put back) saved me £40 ;)

    Can't help you with a tank specialist, but the more I've ridden with the Booster Plug, the better it's feeling. It's definitely much stronger all round. I had to sneak past a procession of horses yesterday and it coped really well in first with no gas at all...just feathered the clutch to keep the speed and revs down.

    No, i bought it used. I did think it looked liked it came out old tool box.
    i wonder what the reason is? is mine a original reservoir?

    Yes the reservoir looks correct - scroll back up as I posted a photo of the original Brembo reservoir and the bracket.

    just spoke to Craig at total Triumph and he said it is a shipping bracket to fit into a crate and should never left the show room like it. also said it will be affecting the braking as its below the cylinder

    Shipping bracket !? I was going to mention the height...that's very sloppy :pensive:

    I offered £36.50 in an attempt to get free postage...and they declined. The counter offer was £39.90 and I thought I'd stop quibbling. I feel robbed...especially after all the advertising I've inadvertently done for them :confounded::joy:

    just spoke to West Yorkshire Triumph and they are saying it’s not a crate part and the handle bar parts are already fitted. Says that some come with alloy bracket and some come with crap bit like mine.
    He’s raised a warranty claim for corrosion so not sure what it will be replaced with

    Update- After i emailed a photo of the official alloy part from the triumph parts catoluge, Yorkshire Triumph called back today and admitted it was in fact a crate part and are sending a new one out.

    wonder how many have gone out of the show room like that
