Thanks, Dartplayer! I'm super happy with how it turned out. You have each of the major mods correct (including the "engine fruit"). Good going! There are a few more that are visible but barely because they're pretty small, especially in these photos. While my Road Glide Special was pretty much chromed out, my new Street Glide Special came stock with a blacked out treatment and I replaced little bits that weren't black with the black version.

    • In addition to the footboards, I added a new shifter peg and grips as well as derby cover that are from the same H-D collection (Defiance) as the footboards. And you can't see them at all in the pics but I also added the faring speaker covers from the Defiance collection.
    • black shift linkage
    • black oil cooler cover
    • curved license plate frame (and removed the reflector protruding from atop the frame)
    • new timer cover on the right side--which is awaiting an inlay badge piece that was on backorder
    • new horn cover--but I've decided to replace that and return to the stock one
    • removed the big antennae that was sticking up through the left fender and put in one that's hidden in the faring
    • black axle nut covers on the front wheel
    • replaced the chrome saddlebag latches with black ones

"Engine fruit"--love that term! I've had Vance & Hines on most of my Harleys but I had Rinehart headers and mufflers on my Road Glide Special I was super happy with that system. So l so went with the same exhaust for my new bike and I'm glad I did. It sounds awesome and I like the look. We'll see if it feels as awesome when I ride it but Mr. Sandi after riding it home that the performance was excellent. I'm excited to feel the bike's performance with the new cams, exhaust, air cleaner, and tuner.

Glad you like my Le Pera seat.:) So do I! I originally chose that graphic (the "Dragon" stitch) to go with the ghost paint pattern of the bike when I bought my 2014 Road King CVO . What's awesome is that this seat has orange stitching and each of my three touring bikes has been some shade of orange. And it has fit each of the three different touring models that I've owned. But the best thing is that I just love this seat--it's perfect for my needs. Not to mention my butt. ;) It has the option of easily adding a backrest and I can rest my touring bag behind the backrest when we're traveling. Tucson H-D has allowed me to put the stock seat of each new bike onto the bike I'm trading so I can keep my beloved Le Pera. Here's a photo of it when it was pretty much brand new on my 2014 Road King. It currently has over 30K miles on it.

Awesome Sandi, I did notice the matching shifter and thought the whole dash was darker, but thought it must have been the lighting.
Most kiwis talk about what fruit they add to their motors to make them sweeter :p.
“Sweet” can good, appealing, running well (bike, car, or truck or even an event/party) so is generally a complimentary term.
I’m sure the new cams and mufflers have her/him humming sweet.:imp:
Very happy for you, and can not wait to hear about your virgin ride out. Not too long away

Last minute meet up with @Tiglet today, had lunch, looked so sad when he got a fiver out of his wallet to pay his half I didn’t have the heart to take it off him, let alone tell him prices had increased from the 70’s and a fiver was no where near enough.

At least he's using legal tender, last time I saw him get a fiver out of his wallet it was one of those big white ones from the 50's/60's ;):D

I vaguely remember seeing something about it on a documentary some time ago. I like the political satire theory, there are a lot of pricks in office.

Well, just been knocked off the Beemer. Some guy reversed into it on a country road and sent me flying. He wasn’t going fast thankfully. No injuries and bike has some scratches on the front beak and mudguard. Thank god I took @littleade advice and put some covers on the engine. It certainly worked.

Yes he is. Just noticed that the wheel is scratched through as well so may be more expensive than first thought

Bad news, but happy it wasn't worse. Bikes can be fixed a lot easier than we can.
