And they are/will be beautiful, Steve! And I do love white as evidence by my Speed Triple. But I did say that white is best, not only. There are pros and cons to having two bike of the same color. For example, one then needs only one bottle of touch-up paint. :) But I like having bikes of different colors because provides me an excuse to have multiple helmets and jackets to match my bikes. ;)

When is the estimated delivery of your new white Tiger??

Ron and Jez, please let us not hang our moral standards too high.
If mentioned story is true, Dave would have been proud of having been a member of the RAF. That certainly does not make him a sad prick. At least in my eyes.
We all have corpses of moral imperfection in our basements. Anyone who does not is pretty neigh holy (and therefore might not belong here anyway...).

In February, I parted with a good mate because of moral standards and in the aftermath I wondered, if it was not me being the shithead...
We talked, had a bottle of Highland Park, shook hands and put our moral standards behind us.

    Just saying...

    Hello Jez,

yes I watched the movie „Walter Mitty“ and I definitely can understand your feelings about anyone pretending having been a military member while this is not the truth. Corps-Spirit also means something to me.
(M109 Howitzers, Stadtallendorf, Observer, private first class).

And I don’t know Dave all too well.

He was complimenting Dilli though and he didn‘t say „it takes a big man like me...“ and so I was a little stunned by your and Ron‘s posts. But maybe I am just missing too many details...

I still feel like being part of a big family within this Forum and conflicts like this (albeit unavoidable) just make me a little sad.

    I get your point, Ron.
There are things especially valuable to our hearts.
And if you went to combat that probably is even more so the case!
(Talking to Jez, I - and others here - really was/were missing some details...)

I did an 'away day' in the Royal Navy back in 1981, did less than 6 months but decided it wasn't for me & bought myself out, don't ever claim to be ex military even though technically I am .

Mine wasn't quite so embarrassing, joined to be a clearance diver, to be fair right from the recruiting office I was told chances were slim to none of getting selected, did basic & part 2 (seamanship) training passed everything that I was supposed to, but didn't get selected for diver training, it was purely a numbers thing. :poop:
I wasn't particularly interested in being in the mob, just wanted that one job, so when I didn't get selected I bought out under PVR scheme, never regretted my decision. :)

Hi Sandi - the new Tiger is going to be picked up on the 7th August (all being well). :)
Having lower engine protection bars fitted but not decided on the luggage option yet - probably won't go with panniers this time though. :D

It’s a good job there is a Triumph model called a ‘Street Triple’, or your handle could be open to interpretation! :scream::kissing_heart:

Nice bike, Dilli. Who cares how, where and why you use it as long as YOU get the pleasure and purpose from it that suits your needs.

Mind you, that will be a BITCH to drag out of the mud at the next Dragon Rally ...........

Whatever you do with it - enjoy it!

Maybe members who’ve served in the Military could post their Service number.
    Most never forget that...mines 23902101.

D191513B - not bad for an away day bit of service ... you dare not ever have been unable to recall when asked!

Now I can't remember a bloody phone number for more than a minute!
