I hope they are going to put a cockpit fairing on it.

I so very much want more info on this bike, I have this and the Aprilia RS660 on my radar currently. This is probs not looking to be in any ones driveway until October 2021 and the Aprilia is maybe looking at November 2020. Fortunately I still very much love my Street Triple so am in no hurry to change, but I really like the current 1050, this will be banzai! :D

Both great bikes but widely different beasts.

One is a 100bhp budget sportsbike the other a 180 bhp top of the range supernaked.

    looks good.

traded mine ... just never clicked and it didn't help that the fueling repeatedly cut out on me for a split second on several occasions at highway speeds, which is arse clenching to say the least (and no answers from the techs)

But had I kept it, low exhaust was in the works (check box, though not as pretty as SC project) and this looks like it may a bit more nimble, lighter and lower COG.

I did like the last models headlights though. Less bug eyed - just personal preference.

But if thy could get this closer to street triple's weight and telepathic steering, lower center of gravity with all that delicious mid range torque, they should have a winner here.

Especially in Utah where the closest Aprilla dealer is 6 hours away and KTMs dealers keep minimal street inventory.

Wonder how hard it would be to chuck that cat (or double cat?)

I don't think the RS660 is going to be a budget bike with all that electronics packaged with it! :) But yes, both very different bikes! :)

The new Aprilia RSV4/Tuono's are great bikes and the electronics are interesting, but the moment you ride on track and the electronics start to withhold power making the bike unintuitive to ride then you should know you're in for some big $$$. A slip-on exhaust needs the special unlock code for the Ecu Map from Aprilia or a Race Ecu which means $1500 + $1000. I find this super annoying considering you're paying a premium for these bikes to start with!

When buying the exhaust from Aprilia, it comes with the race map code unlock so it's slightly cheaper than the price you are mentioning, but I have to admit that paying 1300€ for an exhaust/map is unacceptable when paying a bike 18k€.

I have wanted an Aprilia for so long but can't see a day where i'll ever own one new. I was a breath away from buying a Tuono over the speed triple but while talking numbers they hit me with the the destination, setup, & 1st service cost that, combined, equated to something like $1,200 on top of the sticker. I was going to buy a leftover 18' in 19' which were discounted to something like $15k but destination, setup, & service put it right back at list.

I love my Speed Triple RS but man do I have a soft spot for a the noises that V4 makes.
