Completely understand the reasons, and when reading through the guesses for new bike I wast thinking Tiger 900 before I got to that guess. It's something that I've been thinking wistfully about. Much more practical for the sort of riding I do, but I just love the looks and the low riding position of my Speedmaster too much to replace it, and I don't have room for a second bike.

Shame about Cerberus , but totally understand, and the Tiger in red looks great

Fuck me!! At first I thought that SWMBO had put some sort of strange chemical in my tea and I was hallucinating. Seems not!
All I can say is 'good on yer, Dilli'. If it's not right, then it's not right. End of!
But red?? I suppose it makes a change after all that black. And my Trident, despite being mostly black does have red on it. So I guess that I have no right to take the moral high ground - as if I ever could FFS!!

Anyroadup, enjoy your new bike (when you get it). At least you won't get road shite all up your (or worse still you lasses') back on the Tiger.

Incidentally, you could call it Tom as it is red like a TOMato. My Trident was christened Tommy by SWMBO - summat to do with alliteration, as in Tommy The Triumph Trident, she said. SIGH! I do worry about her sanity sometimes!

Oh my, I just noticed that this thread is (already) a whopping 8 pages long! And I'm late to the news. So my last post is probably just silly. Let me get back down to business and read ALL of the posts now. I be just about finished up in around 5 hours.

 

Beautiful! A HUGE congrats on the new bike and new adventure--both riding and concocting stuff for it. I'm happy for ya, Dilli! Good choice on leaving behind a bike you thought you'd love but that just didn't work and moving on to a different one. But, whew, thank God you stayed with a Triumph! I few members' guesses had me just a wee bit concerned.

But I noticed something unusual about your new bike. It's NOT BLACK!

 

Well, one of my mottos is "never say never". But, erm, NEVER! Well, now I may have jinxed myself. And I guess if Mr. Sandi and I decide to move to Costa Rica I'd be wise to get an enduro.

 

At least now I have an excuse and can relax.........

 

Oh, Dilli, don't go all "adventure boy" on us and buy a matching "outfit". Gotta keep some of that manly cool about cha.

 

I, too, am stunned at the news of Cerberus' departure and the impending arrival of a Tiger in dilli's garage. I agree that an extra dram this evening might help to lessen the shock. (any excuse...)
